Schnitzel
The proof finally came back from the printer. Little bit of adjustment to a few pics required
ndv
@Schnitzel of you put this in production, or at least made to order. I remeber in another thread you mentioned something high costs for Australia shipping. To possibly keep those costs down, for any orders shipped to the states would it be feasible to work possibly negotiate a printing deal with @misteraven so things ship domestically?

I know how hard this to do, so pretty huge for you to not just think or talk about it, but get it done. Best of luck as you continue. @ndv I could potentially stock it on the online store but I can’t print it. I actually just finished a book recently on an entirely other subject from graff, but I printed in Croatia. I don’t own offset printing presses and getting stuff like that done is already prohibitively expensive off shore and near impossible domestically. If people wanted to t-shirts or stickers, that’s a different story. 2

As I am trying to get a company to run a limited number of t shirts, but due to their clientele, the tees gotta be top quality - this is were I think you come in.

Thanks @misteravenI'm glad to see it coming together. it's not selling huge quantities ( at the moment i have only offset about 20% of the printing costs but once more pics surface people will buy I'm sure. fuck it even if it fails I'll have a book on the shelf that's mine. 1 1
Schnitzel
it's happened it's here cover not quite as expected but the half tone effect seems to have made little circles. not a fan of the handstyle but the crowd will vibe off it and that's the main thing a book I have put together on my graff bookshelf. (top right) and orders coming in thick and fast
Fist 666
What are the dimensions? (In American) I'd be game to help coordinate a bulk US buy, just people need to know it won't be a quick turnaround, six months tops... 1

LUGR
Hey, @Schnitzelcongrats man! That’s got to be an awesome feeling. Looks great on the shelf and cover looks legit. I really want one!
Schnitzel
the dimensions according to Google page size 8.27 x 11.69 inches The A4 size paper measures 8.27 x 11.69 inches, only slightly larger than the close equivalent to U.S letter size 8.5 x 11 inches. Cover is slightly bigger.

It's not the greatest but I reckon if you had it by the toilet you'd find something interesting each time you opened it. 1
diggity
@SchnitzelSuper rad man. let us know when they go on sale.
Schnitzel
@diggityI can sell some now. Trouble is given the fact I printed in Australia and australia post is a rort I would have to charge $81.50 USD to cover my costs (that's including the freight as it's about 3 pounds once packed) kind of takes the gloss off it a bit unless you've got a penchant for Sydney graffiti from a few years back.
Schnitzel
does anybody in here have a copy of the bullion font by Tony Geddes? for mac? need it for an idea and it's maddeningly hard to find. for reference it's the Pentel( i think) PAINT font
diggity
@Schnitzelthat looks like a tough one. Has it ever been converted into a font? I can't find it for sale anywhere. I found it in a PDF but when i downloaded and tried to see if the paths were there, it turned out to just be an image that was placed. @misteravenhave you seen this anywhere ever? I actually have a sheet of it in 250 vintage letraset sheets I bought on eBay. I was hoping to find a font somewhere because I'm useless with kerning etc. Maybe it's never been made into a font. it does only seem to have been used in display items @misteraven @diggity thanks for looking though it's surprisingly common in albums and singles https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/7272/bullion
diggity
The best I can tell is that it was made in the 1970s and hasnt ever been made digital. https://e-daylight.jp/fonts/type/b/bullion.html Edited May 2 by diggity

Schnitzel
a few years ago I bought a lot of dumb shit on ebay I've only just opened this because I spent a load of cash on it and I was sure it was a totally stupid purchase but maybe not. I just opened it yesterday Supposed to be about 200 sheets of old letraset rub on text etc. but it's closer to 500. devastated somebody got the other half of the alphabet. But going to work something out with this. The helvetica section is about 50 sheets per drawer.
diggity
@Schnitzeldo you need it to be a font or will vector work for you?
Schnitzel
@diggity I think a vector will be fine and I can probably go from there.
ndv
@diggity @Schnitzel The font here isn't as heavy with a shadow/outline but found something very similar to Bullion Hope it helps as there is an option to download a true type font (TTF) https://www.onlinewebfonts.com/download/7ec1960cce1380685f44148e4524d0b4

ndv
3 minutes ago, diggity said: thats a pretty solid match. I pretty much will start from whatthefont then go from there. The biggest issue I have with font designers is the vast amounts of fonts titled the same thing but can be completely different. It is time consuming and can take hours to track a font down. Names help, but can also get you chasing ghosts. To help curb that or get me a handful of results to start my journey, whatthefont has been rock solid. After that, if it's a paid font package, there is always someone who created a free download.
Schnitzel
Okay so over the years I've built myself a little "fantasy graff library" of mock ups of books I'd like to see made. it's a dumb thing I do because I'm a bit of a graff nerd and the rest. Generally these get done on the coldest nights when I can't sleep. My skills at mocking up are terrible but it's good fun. funnily enough a couple of these books have sort of come to fruition (uk graff and sydney 80's) not by me but by other people. so what's my point? well @misteravenI've often thought 12oz could be a great subject for a history book of sorts. it's quite venerable as far as sites go and let's face it there's a lot of content. And since my dog is at the vet having an operation and I'm worried about him I thought I'd mock some bits up to take my mind off it! if this is offensive or pisses you off feel free to delete. I made this with best of intentions. It's not a real book (and from my end) will never be but it's a great idea. I robbed various images from various threads (you'll recognise them) Also going out on a limb and saying the left side is such a great pic! if ever you uncover that big piuece in background would love to see it. wouldn't that be a dope Idea?? Laid out with that AKA flair and quality finishes I had one more spread to do with a collage of CH0 classics, KC KID, DAO, Cheeto Feet, Pee in her butt, that freaky girl, Adamsblock etc. it's a shame that chunk of history was lost. and now I'm off to scan photos for my thread boosting day. 1
diggity
I tinkered around in illustrator and redrew it. I’ll send over the ai file tomorrow but the font linked above looks like it to me. 1
