fucking hell nothing is sacred anymore, im pretty sure they are going to start legislating for there to be a tax on the air or some shit.

why the fuck are they concerned about the internet so damned much? I find it hilarious that the us is making moves to possibly censor something that they condemn other countries for doing.

that's what democrats do, they don't do war they just restrain citizen freedom

The US senators pushing a controversial new bill that some fear would give President Barack Obama the powers to seize control of and even shut down the internet have rejected claims it would give Obama a net "kill switch".

The bill, titled Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, has been unanimously approved by the US Homeland Security committee and will be put to a vote on the Senate floor shortly....

This is bizarre.

How's about just a fucking "kill switch" for individual sites deemed dangerous in a COURT OF LAW. I mean, clearly that mindset is already put in place without a big red button on his desk but come on, talk about a slippery fucking slope. First this, then they'll introduce a television kill switch and nest they'll be bussing red headed spackle faces into the desert and shot like muskrats.

Watch for new reformed american national anthem written by a group of former soviet communist bread loaf bakers performed by MIA and the reverend al sharpe.

See, here we have this thing called the 1st Amendment which entitles all views, whether racist, radical, etc. It allows for peoples voices and opinions to be heard without fear of

retribution.

This is what is wrong with this "kill switch".

They're also using bullshit like "Chinese hackers could shut down our power companies".

In short, no they cannot shut down our power companies.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The goal, as Lieberman (can you believe this guy? he's a jew advocating Nazi style censorship) put it is "China can do it, we should be able to do it, too"

this is pure silliness. no one entity can "shut down" the internet. the internet itself is not an entity. it cant be "shut down". no matter who does what, the internet itself will continue to exist as long as the banking industry exists.

with no internet the current system used to provide access to credit (credit cards, atm's etc) would be not be accessible as all current credit transactions use the internet for verification. as long as such systems exist they rely on a telephony system to work. as long as telephony systems are in place then there will be locations which are viable to piggyback off of for access to data networks.
