theprotester
@Drue: I've still got some cans of Stiegl, and even some of their bar snacks they sell at the brewpub over there. Pretty damn easy beer to get down. @vfor: Hardly the only single pot still left, but I'll be sure to look out for it. $50 is peanuts. vanfullofretards
@vfor: Hardly the only single pot still left That's what I've read...? It even says something to that effect on the box.
theprotester
Must just be in their region? I had one here up until last year, but there's four running further south from me, and they are registered with the SMWS, as am I. It's not life changing for me, it's just a massive stretch for them to say they have the only operating copper pot still making Whisky! mackfatsoe
It's the only whiskey I have the confidence of drinking neat. got to this and stopped reading. there is so much good whiskey out there, don't get stuck on that one brand too long young tard. been on a rye tear recently. well, among other things haha ~ also had hitachino white ale for the first time in forever today, really hit the spot this afternoon
vanfullofretards
It's not life changing for me, it's just a massive stretch for them to say they have the only operating copper pot still making Whisky! from wiki: Redbreast is one of the few single pot still whiskey brands produced today (along with Irish Distillers' Green Spot), and is the only one with an age statement. Note that all single malts are also purely from a pot still, but single pot still whiskeys use partially unmalted barley, so they cannot be technically called a single malt. Also, single malt whiskeys were generally distilled twice, whereas single pot still whiskeys were generally distilled three times.[2] got to this and stopped reading. Word, don't get me wrong I'm just getting into the good whiskey. I knew though once I started drinking Redbreast I found something special. theprotester
I didn't want to make a big thing out of it. But that is wrong. Either way, I have a review on that French Ale I was telling you blokes 'n birds about. Just editing out the spot blow up, then I'll post it up. eviltrailer77
Faxe brewery in Denmark, about a year ago. Apparently the blow-off valve failed causing the yeast tank to explode. It flew 25 meters in to the air, hit the side of the building and then fell beck on top of that car. No humans were harmed, but the yeast, oh the yeast.
theprotester
That's a forkload of pressure! Must have been a pretty old tank, these days they have to put blow out doors on them, so if the release valve fails, the next weakest point still goes in a somewhat safe way. Would have been incredible (and scary as hell) to see!
crime stoppers
Faxe, the preferred beer of alcoholics in north Europe. they sell 1L cans of 10% beer, they hit like a fucking freight train.

Fist 666
Got the trade today Lurker. I'm 2 in. SpeakEasy red rye--delicious, I'm not an avid red drinker, but I'm glad I started this with a fresh palate. tasty. 21st amendment back in black ipa--I think I've had this on draft, but its awesome in a can too. and just cracked Moylans norcal IPA. dude, this thing tastes like pure weed. possibly the most weed like beer I've ever had. fucking awesome. we'll see how far I get tonight. Fist 666
now I'm on english ales corkscrew ale. this might be the easiest drinking "real beer" i've ever tasted. its only 4.2% and I'm pretty confident I could pound a bomber of this in under 20 seconds. fucking smooth, bubbles are right for the mellow body. a couple BA reviews call it bitter, maybe my palate is fucked from that moylans, but this is not bitter at all.. Holdencaulfield
and the hopslam... Fools walking out with cases of the shit. 20 bucks a 6 pack, really not worth it IMHO. Plenty of other imperials that are a lot better and cheaper.
Fist 666
$20 on a 6?. i've spent 18 on 4s, but i think for 6s I've peaked at 15 (except in BC where everything is fucking stupid expensive). what state?
vanfullofretards
Had some Westvleteren 12 the other night. Ha just kidding. If anyone is in an area where you can buy a pack or two of Pliny the Elder or Younger, PM me... I'd be up for a trade I want to see what all the fuss is about. Fist 666
elder fucking rules. TY lurker for that too, i can't find it out here.
Holdencaulfield
I've heard that the Ballast Point Sculpin is pretty much the same recipe as the Pliny, lower abv however. Fist I'm in Ohio, dunno if Hopslam is even released that widely though. I really don't get the hype, regardless.
Realism
How was that Ballast Point in terms of sweetness? The last vanilla/coffee porter I bought was like syrup.
support local lurker
You're welcome for the Pliny, Fist666.. And I'm sorry for lagging. Next trade will go alot faster. Make sure to drink that Pliny ASAP though to keep it fresh. I tried to make the whole trade "nor-cal" friendly if you know what I mean!!
