JDI_
Guku... have you ever done a piece where all the shapes are solid colors? No outlined shapes, no line work at all... just solid color shapes filling an entire space. Just curious how it would look.
guku
@jdi There have been attempts to create without adding solid lines , but those attempts did not leave me satiable with my work. I've come to the realization that, as I stretch across the canvas with a geometrik action, that action will always be in relationship with the line... earl broclo ESQ
It doesn't look like you're adding solid lines, but starting with solid lines and then working it like a coloring book. If you were to do the same patterns with multiple colors, then accented them with colors of relationship, using white as your dominant outline, it might be a totally different piece. Also play with the weight of your lines. Try thinner outlines if you stay with black, then add weight when you're done coloring it in. Just my two cents. Bojangles
Guku, Second picture down is the best (IMO) cropping/showing of your work so far. It looks more contained and I think that works with your style. You have a very chunky, dense style. Don't try to make it too free flowing and trailing. Boxy works for you. Something new from me...
