Cheers dude, I shoot 99% of the time with a 35mm and usually around f/2.8-3.5 so there's a pretty sharp DOF, when I process them I think that just adds to the vignetting. wright1 Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 I'm buying a new lense but cannot decide which one..canon 50mm 1.4, or 1.8, or possibly the 85mm 1.8. I'm looking for a lense that will preform well outdoors and will give me a nice bokeh. Any thoughts? I aware there is plenty info about this on the net but I know there are some very talented photographers in here and would really like to get some opinions flowing..thanks in advance. Mercer Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 If you don't have a full frame or 35mm film body the 1.4 is overkill IMO. It's almost 4 times as much more loot which could be spent on other equipment. The cost is higher because the corners of the shot are better quality on full frame.
