  2. get the vandals "OI TO THE WORLD" its my favorite holiday cd ever... weezer--blue album (i played rock band for the first time the other night, so say it ain't so has been really in my head)
  3. poison the well--opposite of december
  4. taqueria castillito had fucking awesome horchata. i think i'll make it back to SF come spring. i'm pretty excited.
  5. i had a killer weekend its been a long time since i drank for fun. rockstars party hard. and don't let me back out of taking shots my ability to make decisions became entirely inhibited good stuff.
  6. a birthday of mine fell on 6/6/6 it was rad. i fucked some. drank lots saw omen, drunk as fuck, didn't remember it. saw my friends' metal show. drank more. was mostly late for work the following day. i wasn't born at 06 or 1800 local time, so i'm not really satan's spawn, but it made for a pretty rad birthday
  7. i've only heard a few of those. i really haven't been part of the hardcore scene since 02/03. that line up that chupacabra posted last week: i talked about it with one of my best friends who, like me, hasn't been a part of hardcore for a few years. we reminisced. that line up made me wish i still gave a shit about hardcore. i had so much fun back then. good times and good friends, and now... i just don't see "hardcore" giving kids what it used to give me. yep. colin of arabia is rad.
  8. haha. i'd talk to her the translation of that is this: she's not very good looking and my low self esteem makes me think i'd have a chance with her. truth.
  9. there have been a few rad bands that came out after 99... one dead three wounded xfilesx i'm sure there are a couple more, haha.
  10. blind guardian--nightfall in middle earth
  11. as far as hating tommy lee, i can understand that, i got over it after seeing "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" that movie was very mccarthy-esque as far as events go. very good movie. to blood meridian--that is the only book i've ever read, and given away. the writing is amazing. the story horrific. to a degree that i didn't really want it in my library. there were a few times during the book where i set it down for a few days because i wasn't sure i wanted to finish it. one of his more recent books THE ROAD was awesome. i think its been his most accessible work yet. I'm going to read SUTTREE over xmas leave... i guess its somewhere between faulkner and twain, and full of quality mccarthy dialogue, pretty excited...
  12. mccarthy is one of my favorite authors i never saw "all the pretty horses" because i heard it got turned into a real sensitive type film, which as a book it is not. the whole border trilogy was outstanding. as far as this movie goes, it was a very accurate adaptation, but the things that made it an oustanding book, didn't come across in the movie. ie. ed tom's dialogue between each chapter; most is lost, and that was some of my favorite stuff. the shootout w/ the mexicans in town (hotel #2) was very different. as far as being unhappy w/ the ending: the book is a little different in the layout, the movie left out what i thought was pretty key dialogue towards wrapping the story up. i thought it was decent, but not incredible, as always, book>movie.
  13. stop rubbing it in everybody's faces dude. i'm going to see amon amarth tomorrow. w/ himsa. i used to like himsa. i don't know these days. pettibone's so monotone that it gets pretty fucking boring sometimes. amon amarth is rad though. metal ftw.
  14. Re: Great Pictures~ t4m... awesome input. that last one.... i hope i look like then when i'm old. if i get old.
  15. umm, i appreciate the props, but i'm definitely not listening them, i was listening to these guys from philly moving units was the name of their second/final lp currently: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE--this is a spark of life

  18. haha. it burnses us. i can't make much defense towards dawood's insults to the us army enlisted population. i do not have the longest military experience here, but i've seen some, i think enough to comment. the only thing that didn't sit well was "3. You have the criminals, the losers, the ex drug addicts or thugs who just want to go prove they're a big guy too " so dawood, you've lived your life piously in its entirety? you didn't live a thug life and straighten out w/ the help of religion? why talk down on those who are trying to get their shit together? everyone on this board is a criminal, probably a drug user, and probably most of us thugged the fuck out too. i think most in the army are people without much direction. lots of them are just fuckbags, too, though...
  19. i think curlupanddie was from vegas. those guys were fucking sweet.
  20. you're right, placing blame on those whose involvement in key-decisions-made is ABSOLUTELY NONEXISTENT is totally preposterous. my bad.
  21. i don't know that i can fully appreciate that line up. you've got basically 5 of my favorite hardcore bands along with 3 other awesome bands. like, if i were to put together an ultimate hardcore show lineup, it would basically look like that with shai hulud (because i love them, not because they fit at all). basically thats a perfect line up. i wouldn't care who headlined or who opened... i can't grasp that killer of a show. in my jealousy; HOPE CONSPIRACY--endnote

start timing yourself, and then pushing yourself. do short fast rides to get your cardio up, then continue w/ long med/high pace rides. over time you'll get better as long as you keep pushing yourself, don't just maintain.
