haha way off. The shape and color had me thinking of some offal. I remember a friend of mine went out to california and he kept talking about Chris Cosentino and his Offal Good site etc. Remember seeing a soup made of turkey eggs but they were in the inner eggs that were still all attached. I mean I love food and I love sushi and will try just about anything but some of that stuff was hard to see as appetizing. Its like Tripe, I see it in the store and for some reason it bugs me out.

Digging that jewelry nowon. Casting is on hold a bit for me. Im building a small forge to toy with... and maybe a DIY power hammer in the near future. Been a minute since Ive posted. The blog takes up all the real online talking I cant stand to do so by the time Im done IM DONE! So Ill let the pics do the talking. I did a test pot melt recently. Pot melt is basically a flower pot filled with glass, heated to melt glass and it oozes down to make a disk or other shape. Gotta coat the bottom pieces with kiln wash so the glass can shrink back without cracking. Makers 46 break

Jaw dropping ^^^the last two are my favorite. The bison carpaccio sounds dope. Question though...what is that thing in the middle of the carpaccio? is it a piece of offal? No Mcgyver tonight. I wanted something good but didnt feel like getting a ton of things dirty. If I dont buy fresh plantains I love the goya ones in the frozen food section, same as you get in spanish restaurants. I picked up some frozen ready serve jasmine rice at trader joes along with the roasted pork which is actually pretty good. I did make the fresh corn salsa though lol

appreciated. Hopefully soon the stove top and oven will be hooked up even though the counters etc arent done.

Been a good long minute since I stepped out of the grilled cheese zone and actually cooked. Still tormented by my lacking of a proper kitchen and stuck with only a skillet and other wall plug devices. This meal was nothing special but I tried to make it different. Disappointed but yet still tasty. Pork marinated in some coco milk, curry, chili, clove, cumin then skilleted lol. Fried semi sweet plantains, cilantro red onion mojo, chili powder jicama, and reduced coco milk.

seems like through all the posts RedWings is winning. Only other quality shoe Ive had were a pair of Docs. I had them for probably ten years and the only thing that went bad was just the wear on the sole. I made the bad choice of tossing them instead of paying the 50 bucks to have them re-soled. I dont work in construction or anything too intense but I do work in hospitality (FOH) and my constant movement is abuse in itself. Sure I can buy the 30 buck bucks from walmart every 4 months and they do the trick but Im getting sick of the pleather biting the dust. I mean everything about the boot holds up strong for a good while except for the plastic on top of the leather. So yeah outside of work I weld, smelt, throw clay, dig, do crazy things, and well just plain and simple be very active and I usually retire my work boots after theyre not deemed attractive enough then they become my "work" boots outside of work. So its looking like 2 new pairs of redwings or docs unless someone could change my mind... I know timberlands are nice but they have that whole level or brand. Things like Docs are just Docs and it doesnt seem like they look to have a cheap brand to make money then another to actually give a good product.

Speaking of whisky/bourbon in the BEER THREAD I just had me a few sips of this... So very nice. Smooth and chocolate malt. Vanilla Oak and a very dominant bourbon finish, its like a put a shot in the beer after I poured it. Engine 15 is out of Jacksonville, FL. I was down there visiting family and was very surprised at the amount of breweries that have popped up. I think there are four total that are bottling and a few more on there way. Had a few by Intuition, Bolt City, Pinglehead, and River City. Although I believe it was Bolt City's red ale that was literally a Red Stout, the thing was darker than any brown Ive had. PingleHeads was definitely better. I have been enjoying the hell out of Boulevard Breweries Beers. THeyre just great beers in my opinion. Most recently was their Dark Truth Stout. I also like that a grip of their beers are higher gravs. Picked this up to but havent had it yet...

I guess hes right. I mean I watched Misfits season 4 and it was awful yet I know how good the first seasons were. I will watch season 5. But yeah there is so much bad TV out there that even when a good show goes sour its still better.

kept seeing this along with all the new brews at my local stores. Picked it up tonight and it is quite good. Golden color. Sweet like malt with finishing hints of citrus. I was quite intrigued and enjoyed every beer in the 6er. Red Hares Long Day Lager

Can someone enlighten me. I know Italians brag about how long their sauce has been cooking etc yet I fail to see the sense in cooking sauces so long. Ive made tomato sauces within at least an hour and they were perfect. Is there a need to cook that long? Is it the skin or the tomato? Flavors dont take that long to infuse together so please tell me! I want educated responses from those educated. I understand if its to be reduced then that takes time and the scorching aspect. I dunno I just have never gotten the whole thing.

Thats a good way to start with what Protester posted. I mean you could also just scour this thread back a couple pages, if not a couple hundred pages. This thread is full of some really good dishes. I mean the recipes are not there but the ideas are and all you have to do is google the ingredients. I usually do that if Im doubting something might not work. I dont even ask a question I just go "raspberry" "cornish hen" or whatever. I had Chanterelle mushrooms for the first time today and I must say damn theyre good. Basically one was just sauteed in butter and the other butter and bacon. Anyone else worked with them before? Ive never heard of them till today and they were picked wild near where I live. Im going to ask my friend exactly where he found them, I mean he had two buckets full of them.

So other than that I actually had some decent runs on the wheel.. This on I purposely threw slow and crooked. I figured this will be the next cylinder I dabble with mixing up mediums. I did a test a while back with some key maker shavings (brass/copper) at a low temp and got some green but I recently did a lot high firing and loved the results. Going start utilizing some glazes here soon. Been a transitions of tests and trials as of late, nothign productive. Low fire high fire New cast form Ill be playing with..

Ever since I started doing a blog I spend so much damn time doing it and then forget to drop by the Ontz. Its a lot of work to throw together a post from time to time. So Ive had the idea to incorporate some ceramic with some metal. SO I thought why not throw a cylinder then make a top and bottom to eventually join them together. I kept it basic for the first run yet I am kind of unhappy with it, stuck in limbo with it. Either way Ill let the progressive pics do the talking.

True good break down, but I was really just getting at the cost of cable tv itself, primarily having ALL the channels. Either way its no big deal, if youre comfortable with what youre paying yourself then that is all that matters. I didnt know that about AppleTV. Part of my reason behind it all is because for the past few years Ive used my computer for EVERYTHING and have yet to buy a nice TV. I dont even own a game system. Just have put time and money into other things.

what do you expect? I mean if the cops in the US could get away with this just as easy then there would be a lot of MCs dying. Personally I think if that did happen here we would be rid of a lot of douche bags, and maybe even better music lol
