vergudo(no homo) everytime i see your screen name i lol a lil bit.

anyways, my buddy served in the navy for 3 years and says he's a veteran.

he might be but in my mind, if you are not in the battlefield, around explosions, watching people get shot, shooting at people etc etc, you are not a veteran.

 

what yall think?

nah, that would make a suicide bomber a hero...

 

 

In Australia Armistice day, or as we call it Rememberance Day, hasn't been adulterated and is still there to solely commemorate the signing of the armistice that ended World War I on the 11th of November, we have another day, ANZAC day, for our veterans in general. Why steal someone elses holiday for?

a little late on this but i was listening to a roll call yesterday on npr and it was really heartbreaking. they call out the names of soldiers and you respond if you are there to do so. it was so sad to hear the silence after some names being called out.
