CELT
Akron, Ohio smells funny. Good old tire factory funk. I can catch a whiff of crack smoke and stale King Cobra , whenever I go to Akron Skate Park .
CELT
Gary , Indiana is pretty fucking gnarly . I remember stopping there coming home from Chicago . Was looking for this cement skate park , and wound up saying fuck it after about 20 minutes driving around , and being followed by a nig nadillac . Smart
Cleveland is hella' graffiti tolerant. I dunno about that but... I was first inspired by trains I saw in NYC ('76 and '79) but the stuff I saw was SO HUGE to a 7 or 9 year old kid. It made me say "I WISH I could":... but my times in Cleveland told me "I can". It was in Cleveland I learned you could just write on anything. I'd see storefronts, lamp posts, fire escapes... I mean, I'm sure I saw it in NYC but the trains dominated my vision. In Cleveland the RTA was clean all the times I saw it but the streets was ruff. I wreckanized and started writing on everything I saw. Cleveland, much love! thismachinekills
P.S. If you don't like it here...please leave. It's that "Ohio sucks" mentality that holds it down. If all the people here that hated it, shipped out, us that love it here can keep it moving along. Cleveland's got a BOOMING art scene and is hella' graffiti tolerant. Columbus is one giant party city. Cincinnati...I don't know too much about, but they had a t.v. show about them in the 70's so they rule too. i love it here
complex
i spent my life in cleveland, i recently moved to cinci. key differences but i still love em both. can't forget c-bus. and if you hate it here and haven't left its probably because your a young ass ninny and cant fend for yourself. sausage party
im sorry but nothing is "worth checking out" in ohio...was born there (akron) and moved when i was three to texas. i now know never to complain about where i grew up after revisiting ohio when i was fifteen. worse than waco texas. FastFinisher
Thanks for the input. But I didn't ask why should I not visit Cleveland.
Bojangles
Akron is Cleveland's retarded little brother and you look good in pink. Go to the Tremont area lots of cool bars and art galleries. http://www.restoretremont.com/ Eat at Sokolowski's and Grumpy's while in that neighborhood. http://www.sokolowskis.com/ Go to the West Side Market in Ohio City. http://www.westsidemarket.org/ While in Ohio City area, "Touch" (night club) has a great night life scene www.touchohiocity.com EAT AT "MELT" in Lakewood. 1 hour+ wait but you'll see why. www.meltbarandgrilled.com Find "Steve's Lunch" on W.44th and Lorain if you like chili dogs. Go to the Coventry neighborhood and eat at Tommys. Next door to Tommy's is a great vintage toy store called Big Fun. While in Coventry, grab a Scene Magazine (free newspaper on every corner) See what shows are playing at the Grog Shop and score drunk, hipster bitches at the B-Side liqour Lounge Also, check out our massive art museum. http://www.clemusart.com/

Dark_Knight
Find "Steve's Lunch" on W.44th and Lorain if you like chili dogs. Not a fan of steve's at all. the Hot Dog Inn down the street is superior in taste imo. Best hotdogs in cleveland
Bojangles
I'll let you slide on that one Dark_Knight. Hot Dog Inn is a good second best to me. You go to Steve's for the atmosphere. I remember one time, the morbidly obese night cop named "Dooley" was on duty guarding the place from the crack heads and thugs. I walked in wasted and screamed "Dooley you fat fuck. You couldn't catch a criminal to save your life! You'd have a heart attack chasing him down the street!" And the whole place lost it. Dooley grabbed me, cuffed me and told me I had a 5 second lead out the door...in real cuffs, down a main street in the' hood. I thought he was joking until the fat fuck started counting. I bounced and was flying...hands cuffed behind my back. That fat fuck caught me and then we ate hot dogs amidst the scum night crowd. Officer Dooley Slaw Dog Steve's Lunch facebook group. (Read some of the comments.) http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=74874791310&ref=ts "I love Steve's. I ate their on my 21st B-day and got spanked by the hot waitress with a louisville bat all whle listening to Kokomo on the mini jukebox." "I was in there one time, around 3 am of course and some dude OD'd in the bathroom, the staff was more irritated then concerned, the medics came and carted him off, yeah, he was dead. Nobody missed a bite and it was business as usual."
shameless self promotion
Lol. Last time I was in coventry it was for New Years a while back. Somehow ended up in an altercation with 3 or so guys outside malloys. All three were extremely drunk and I was able to take care of them pretty well before the cops came. I took off down a side alley and through a neighborhood when the flashers came on. Next thing I know this guy comes flying out from no where with a giant bamboo sword screaming and chops me on the shoulder before running off screaming like crazy. I got a cab and got out of there. lol. Oh and I saw Bill Burr at hilarities awhile back, dude was funnier than fuck.
