They re-use shitloads of actors on various shows. The only difference is that 90% of HBO's shows are fantastic and FX only makes good comedies. The comedies on FX though...always retarded and HI-LARRY-US. this shit right here. all those shows that swamp mentioned are pretty hackneyed as far as writing goes. justified was the shield but with a western twist. sure, they're entertaining but when you take a good look at each show, they're not much more than a soap opera. i liked the shield and i like soa to a point, but i have to turn off that part of my brain that tells me "that's not how real life works" to watch the show.
