john_gacy
Yeah, Kirin is shit, at least in the U.S., where it's brewed by those Budweiser people. It's more on par with other Japanese beers if you get it overseas, and they even make some special brews there too.
serum
kirin is the best vs asahi and sapporo
CILONE/SK
EDIT:I can't believe I tac'd you so hard with one click. I need to be more discerning. I have to remember this with newbs when propping. I sometimes mean to joke, but end up killing them with reds.

Fist 666
i know i liked a few of their beers when i used to live in CO, my palette has changed a lot so i'll be revisiting everything, possibly in excess.
serum
green is best, blue (winter) aint bad, yellow (blonde) is next, red least of the bunch. worst is the mexican logger, had the spicy stout last week not great. once it turned room temperature it was gross. a stout should still taste good at room temperature red rocket i havent had in awhile but i remember it pretty good. The bowling one, i forgot something to do with pins was ok. i say stick with the green ipa its their best. i can drink a sixer of those pretty quickly
eviltrailer77
A stout should still taste good at room temperature 100% agree, some of the flavors in bigger more complex stouts don't come out/aren't as noticeable until they warm up a bit. Not like trunk of the car on a hot day warm, but cellar temp, 55-65.

john_gacy
You either love it or hate it. Got it on tap the other day & it was even better. Bonus- bartender did not have the standard serving glass so I got bigger glasses.

Fist 666
not gonna lie, i'm going to buy that just for the label. SN rarely disappoints me or does something that offends my palate so I'm sure I'll be satisfied

john_gacy
That Narwhal is tough, TOUGH! Light does not penetrate the glass, high alcohol content. Serum- funny you mentioned that, a little extra on the sugars would have helped this.
serum
ok cool- a few of the imperial founders have so much molasses they tend to make my stomach churn i also don't really drink anything with sugar in it (coffee, tea etc) so i do have a pretty low tolerance for sweet. john_gacy
Well this def won't be Dragon Stout or the like. I got one in the fridge right now that's right about temperature to lay to rest, I'll let you know if opinions change but I think you're safe when it comes to sweet. john_gacy
Pretty sure I've posted this before, but just finishing one off before I go to that Narwhal. This is good, not too sweet, but the Raspberry balances out everything nice.
john_gacy
On further inspection, Narwhal is tastier than when I 1st recalled, kind of smokey in flavor, maybe more sugar not needed.
support local lurker
This will be happening at my local watering hole, from thurs-sunday. World record for most beers on tap from a single brewery at one time.
