They all pretty much taste the same from what I've had so far... anyone else seen these? I bought them purely because I liked the illustrations and wanted to try something I've never had. Oh well. I might give them another chance and try their vanilla porter or oatmeal stout if i see them at a bar, but i'm not buying anymore 6 packs from this place until they prove that they have a clue how to make beer. (some stouts have way too much alcohol) full body similar to their breakfast stout dogfish head chicory stout slight natural smokey flavor, strong coffee taste. this reminds me of that chocolate stout that i had a month back except this is good. the right balance without leaving that burnt coffee taste in your mouth. goose island matilda hated this. belgian what?! there was no flavor to speak of. basically water with beer flavor Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Granted, I tried it after having about 5 other belgian beers over 10%... but regardless, it stood up well compared to the other beers I was drinking and was damn delicious. My neighbor had it on tap, said it was a lot more mellow. He also tried the Limb and Life, the small beer version of the one you tried, and said it was mehh. It's brewed w/ a number of different flowers which may sound strange to some, but remember hops are flowers too. It's pretty aromatic, but not overpowering in taste. I also like their Double White.
