The next day we woke up and sure enough, Mr. Crane was there.

We've had enough of you, Mr. Crane. Now go away.

I am very attractive.

The fat dude works in coffee distribution, so he took us to go see a coffee hacienda (farm/factory thingie).

Look at that shiny red button. It has to be pressed every 108 minutes or the coffee explodes.

Mad touristy, son.

This place had some insane machinery.

Everything was linked together in a big Rube Goldberg-ish process,

all involving water to carry the coffee seed from step to step.

I forgot exactly what this machine did, but it was crazy looking.

I wanted to put a chair in front of it with some joysticks and pretend it was a time machine.

Over on the far left you can see the edge of a more modern version of the same machine,

but it was all enclosed in a big metal box and wasn't interesting to look at.

We were munching constantly on coffee berries.

They taste completely different from what you'd imagine, they're sweet and delicious.

And they do have caffeine, so we were pretty hopped up by the end of the tour.

Then we went outside, and there was much craziness. Over there in the back you can see the huge pile of discarded coffee berry skins.

Outside they had these huge shallow vats of coffee seeds left out to be toasted under the sun.

Smell that shit. It's delicious.

Before we left, we were greeted by these awesome mutt puppies.

It was all fantastic until we realized that 2 years from now they will be ugly, flea-ridden, mangy strays like the ones in Harvey Wallbanger's thread.

That made us very sad.

The people of Yauco are very proud of Juan el Magnífico.

I do not know who this man is.

We came back to our camp and the ducks were out chillin'.

We got up early the following day and packed up.

We were completely unaware of the impending attack from the ominous treeline we had noticed earlier in the weekend.

DSC_0320.jpg

We were all chillin', having the last few beers and BBQing the last meat, when out of the trees come...

DSC_0311.jpg

VULTURES.

VULTURES!

They circled the sky above us.

DSC_0324.jpg

And they landed where our tents used to be. But there was nothing to be found.

There was only Voodoo Cup.

DSC_0331_blowup.jpg

And Voodoo Cup prevailed.

This is the spot where we had bonfires.

Bonfires aren't allowed cause they burn the shit out of the grass/ground.

We tried to enclose it as well as we could, but shit still got burned pretty bad.

Fat dude was a green thumb, and piled some official looking earth/grass on top of it.

On the way out we stopped for a few more touristy shots.

I love that light on the wires. It's just an ordinary highway street lamp tied haphazardly to the cables. That's how shit is done here.

We stopped by some docks on the coast to catch the last sunset.

This picture has ATTITUDE. Look at all that attitude.

This should be the album cover art for some shitty band.

The End.

I hope you all enjoyed.
