En Sabah Nur
i'm normally against thanksgiving because i don't like most of the associated food, and because of the origin and shit, and the family crap i have to do. but the past couple years me and my friends have been doing a leftovers potluck a day or two afterwards that tends to be pretty fun. rental
its difficult i have been stretching my stomach for the event ...I CANT WAIT!!! true! abc doesnt know about eating season. you must prepare. ive been excited about both thanksgiving ( http://www.12ozprophet.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4929488#post4929488) and christmas (http://www.12ozprophet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112585) lately. but ive been more excited about christmas this past week because i started to think about buying presents for people. however, i think its smarter to be more excited about thanksgiving because its this thursday and i dont have to spend lots of money on anyone. bring on turkey day! 26SidedCube
As of yesterday, the moms had a 14lb turkey killed for our TG dinner. I've never had 'fresh' tukey before. This should be awesome.

blood fart
It's not so different than any other day for me. I always cook from scratch. And always make proper meals. I typically go to friends' houses and get unbelievably drunk and then wander the streets. Probably not this year. I haven't been feeling leaving the house too much. My family is a bunch of hippies. We don't want to raise my niece celebrating holidays such as this. We still have a big meal and invite people over and all that. We just call it something besides Thanksgiving. We had nachos and pizza and cupcakes the year before last. It was pretty radical. Quorn>Tofurkey.

WHATS SO BAD ABOUT THANKS GIVIGN!??!?! She thinks eating meat is gross. I think she is more amped on Solstice. We no call it Christmas. Because we are Godless assholes who don't want no Christ in our house. She thinks Santa is a gnome. She drew a photo yesterday of a dream she had. It was a wolf in Santa's clothing. He came to her door and said, "Trick or treat." I'll ask her when she gets home if she wants to hand turkey with me. But I have a feeling she will think it doesn't sound to excellent. And will want to draw dinosaurs and cats playing drums.

I am always thankful of what I have. And spend time with my family every day. I don't need a holiday to make me tell people how greatful I am to have them in my life. So basically, I celebrate Thanksgiving every day.

CACashRefund
only reason its even worth mentioning around my house is because its one of the few occasions a year me and the fam all sit down at the dinner table for a meal, i dont know why, were fucking mexicans i guess its because we are loving united state many long time

Some1
They are just guestimates... 1,894,350 is too many anyways i mean come on its like deer season...there are too many deer there for thay make a season to kill them...back then too many indians they designated a couple years where it was kinda ok to kill them... so we went a little overboard it happens i mean the season is about forgiving right!? I mean we did what we do with other things we kill off we put them all together...Reservations, they're like a zoo for people!!!
26SidedCube
She thinks eating meat is gross. No disrespect or anything, but does she think eating meat is gross or do you/the people you live with think eating meat is gross and the four year-old is just trying to do like the big people? Don't miscontrue: I'm NOT trying to say I know what's good/bad/best for a kid. I'm just kinda curious as to how 'free-thinking' parents/guardians feel about passively shaping children to 'free-think' like them? Kinda like that whole 'being so open-minded you're close-minded to anything that isn't insanely open-minded' paradox. Am I making any sense here? Mondays are awful. She doesn't like the idea of eating an animal, because she loves animals. She can put together the connection between a hamburger and a cow. Certain people in my house eat meat on occassions, so she is always free to do so if she wants, she just chooses not to. But I understand what you are saying. Children are shaped by thier surroundings. They do as they see. They parrot what they hear. I have had her talk to me about black helicopters being bad. She didn't know why, she just knew they weren't good. She knows calling someone a stuffed shirt is an insult. But I doubt she understands what it really means. It's the way kids are. ZeroCool
Gotta bring this back up. I will eat as much animals as I can on Thanksgiving. Hate on the turducken if you want but I'm taking it to the extreme. Osturduckenuin. Think about it. A penguin stuffed into a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey stuffed into an ostrich. Game Over.
