DrPiddlesworth
Vinny Ponte This video reminded me of the arm thing. He doesn't do it as bad as I do or other people I've seen but it's basically just uncontrollably flailing your arms around in the arm when you skate haha. And I noticed a correlation between that and goofy skaters.

enigmatic
I've noticed lately that the people that have "floating arms" (when you skate and your arms are sort of held almost all the way up in the air. Usually your hands are in a weird position too) almost always skate goofy? Whenever I see someone doing the arm thing they are goofy. Does anyone else notice this or am I just crazy? Its called styleee nah im just kidding because I totally do that. Its like I just dont think about what im doing with my hands or arms unless they are being used to help balance or something, I also make fists when im doing tricks that are "scary" *handrails, blunt fakies and what not. anything that it would suck to fall on. CELT
halfcabs came out before 93..or are you just sayin that you wore em alot in 93? bump virtual reality Half Cabs came out in 1992 , I know this for a fact besides the video , because I ordered a shitload of them from Skully Bros . The Caballero was my first skate shoe I ever bought . I was 14 , and did a COD through Skully Bros . , my Mom thought spending all the $$$ I had for a pair of shoes to skateboard in was nuts . http://www.sneakerobsession.com/8944/history-behind-the-vans-half-cab/
HAL
I'm gonna say they came out in the early 90's too, because I remember when they came out and I started skating in 1989. I thought they were ugly at the time, but then again I wore those lowtop Airwalks a lot.
CELT
I never cut my shoes down , then again I skated Chuck Taylors , and Van's SK8 Hi's & Half Cabs . I started wearing Van's Old School's around my Senior year in High School , 1995 . I had a pair of Duff's " Cobnobblers " , and they were awesome . Never got into DC , Osiris , etc.. HAL
I stuck with Vans and Etnies through most of the 90's until they broke up into etnies, e's and emerica. I always thought e's was the most like what etnies was doing, so I kinda stuck with them. I've never owned a pair of DCs, Osiris or any of those other companies. I got a pair of Lakai's a couple years ago, but that's the extent of my deviation.

DRUNKEN-ASSHOLE-ONER
Lakai manchester were almost as comfortable as my half cabs. Lakai Manchesters are even better than Half Cabs. And way more comfortable, not that Half Cabs were ever known for their comfort. I'm dead serious not going to skate any other shoe for as long as they make these jawns. And I was that dude who was all about Half Cabs when everybody else was rockin Osirus and DC moon boots. All black FTW. Fuck all them goofy ass bright colorways. MrChupacabra
All black FTW. Fuck all them goofy ass bright colorways. This. My old shoes completely fell apart and i couldn't find any all blacks that i liked so i ended up getting a pair with white soles. After having them for awhile, i'm not even much of a fan of that. Solid black shoes are the only way to go. Occasionally brown/tan shoes work too, but i'd rather have all black that go with anything. Plus, its not nearly as noticeable/ugly on black shoes once they start scuffing up and dirty.
DRUNKEN-ASSHOLE-ONER
One thing about Lakais though, def try them on first cause they tend to run small. I had to get mine a half size bigger than what I normally wear.
DrPiddlesworth
You see in this video I feel like he is hardly even trying. Haha it's like the dude is just dicking around. i think i might put my hands up higher for level of difficulty or increased speed so they are up a ton (ha)
Dose-ink
Yeah Dao, when I was rocking Lakai's, I had to go up a full size. You dont think Halfcabs are comfortable? I haven't skated in them yet, but just wearing them every day, I've had no issues so far.

ERIZENO
Working for a skate footwear brand I dont skate in anything but shoes from work. I still buy others for chillin ... but you cant beat $20 to $30 a pair for skate shoes. I have been stuck on suede slip ons for about a year or so now. Only problem is the last few production runs haven't included any suede colorways, last time they did suede it was a god awful color, so I have one pair left in White, one left in Black and two in this overly bold Purple. All worn without the extra fluffy thing or the chain, that shit is way too much !! I did end up drawing on the current pair of purples to make it funny ...I will try to post them, when I can grab a pic.

I always liked thin soles for skating in though. I like to feel my board.
