Open your eyes and see that capitalism is anarchaic in itself by nature because the market is dictated by anarchaic forces which cannot be controlled (for simplicity sake.) the market does not concern itself with anything but profit, hence anarchy in the system. go get a job at mcdonalds, do not show up and see what happens. the market will fire you as it pleases, displace you as it pleases, kill you as it pleases (if you commit murder, you get life if convicted.) when the economy sheds 450,000 jobs in one quarter, that is anarchy. when oil prices get shocked up and down that is anarchy. it is a system based on supply and demand, whichever subject to variable forces...anarchy! Thre are too many people that do not realize the full potential of the human brain, so they react to everything in a violent manner. If they want something they will take it with violence, even if it is not essential to anyones well bieng. If there is any type of conflict, they can think of no other solution than violence. for an anarchist society to work, violence would have to be realized for what it really is, an out-moded form of conflict resolution. however, I think anarchism is more about living your life withoughtbieng exploited by large corporations or the limits of laws. graffiti laws for example limit peoples rights to express themselves, I dont think anyone has that right. the government can send you to war in order to keep money in theyre friends pockets, I just feel in my heart that this is the wrong way to do things. as for the personal jabs, I'm actually younger than 16, i dont shop at hot topic,in fact i vandalize it as much as possible, and i dont have a mohawk or draw those stupid circleA's everywhere. I heard about the whole ninja thing on many forums. Ninjas are fucking stupid. As for tent cities in the park, that was A JOKE. On the other hand, i have seen homeless people "hang out". Ive seen them organize Food Not Bombs, and help their fellow homeless who did not have it together enough to find a sufficient source of food. I have seen homeless people organize shows and benefits (succesfully). Ive met kids from Virginia, DC, and even California, all in New York City. I have heard stories from homeless people about adventures that many of you will probably never live out. Some people say that while a homeless person might be free from material possesions and rent and all that, they are a prisoner to themselves, their problems, addictions, whatever. Well, I'd rather be a prisoner to myself than to anyone else. As for a functioning anarchism, yes, actually those have existed. African tribes would function on a totally equal level, everyone shared everything, conflicts were solved in tribe gatherings where everyone was given a voice. It would work with civilized intelligent people, very few of which live in America. On the other hand, some of the intelligent people i have met are anarchists. And they live fine. Anarchy won't work on a large level. But anarchists who live their lifestyles with autonomy have connections all over the country and all over the world. They seem to be doing pretty well too, since hardly anyone is aware of it. I am 16, I do like pirates, and I don't consider myself an anarchist, but an autonomist. I want to be in charge of my own life. If it means eating out of dumpsters, thats fine, ive had dumpstered food, and it's worth the same $5 you paid for it before you changed your mind and "threw it in the garbage".
