The Neopan 100 is a beautiful film, it's literally grainless. Your photos came out nicely, i like the first set better. I know you're a fan of contrast, i am too, but in a couple of those i think you over did it. The one of the guy in the suit sitting on the hay as hardly any tonality. Quoted post I've been using AGFA APX 100 a lot lately, i've really been liking the results. I'll have to give the neopan 100 a try. Neopan 1600 is fantastic if you're out in low light without a tripod. As far as the contrast, i see your point. If i had my way, my photos would have bright whites, dark blacks, and a wide range of grays to help me get the details. But we can't always have our way. I definitely wasn't expecting a couple of those to turn out as contrasty as they did, and while i still like them, i agree that they could have more gray. As much as i love contrast, i still like my photos to be detailed, and in many situations i'd rather have a wide range of grays and detail than a high contrast photo. -Rage-
My critique... 1) Ditch the photoshop brush border. 2) Try to find more subject matter. Granted this is a graffiti board, but there's more out there. Are these print or digital? Or both?
Lilla
I must say that sad as it is I think I'm gonna keep the borders they're nothing special but I think they play off the photos in a "revealing the image" sort of way - guess I'm not one to be objective since I thought it was a great idea to start with and gonna be hard-pressed to alter my feelings! As for the second point - fair play! I must say I was worried if I put up too much non-graf related stuff I'd get flamed so thought I'd start by showing I am into my graf and not just into photography and after Internet fame by flooding forums with my photos. All's digital my Sony F717 kinda digicam/dSLR crossover, full manual control etc. Alright then now for something completely different to show that I can photograph other stuff! MisPantalonesEstaEnfuega
the shot of the hand holding the spray can has amazing tonality and i am pretty fond of it.

But photographing graffiti and dj'ing are kind of massively played out, in my opinion.

GnomeToys
Today. Thankfully it stopped raining for awhile and allowed me to get outside, otherwise the day would have been a complete waste:

I'd appreciate it if you could edit the pictures out of the quote though. Quoting a picture is ok, but the full post quotes throw off the flow of the page. thanks. Gnome, i really like that shot of the spoon. the white and the water droplets just pop out. Do you shoot digital exclusively or do you sometimes use film? Perhaps when I quit smoking I'll take the $16 a week I'm saving and start doing some film too, but who knows.
