@Malin, My mother and sister heard "la llorona" when they were visiting relatives in a rural town in the southern part of Mexico, near a river/creek. A lot of weird shit goes down there which has always had me interested in the subject. I want to believe her but I have never had anything estrange or paranormal occur to me to this day.

Yes, I have also heard of said cloud pattern formation when earthquakes strike. I always thought it was just a superstition from my particular culture.
