  1. @fat ralphyCadillacto a point - there's a threshold where it goes cadillac to moped very fast.
  2. that was a wild time the Adams block saga recall us all joining the forum en masse in the hours leading up to the signs. others in that forum saying "What's OOntz?" since we just filled it with OOntz posts. I've still got a few of the pics from Photobucket I think you can read the 12OZ sign and Caligula faps Fatties. I loved that because we busted out of 12oz Was in my little office on the top floor of a building next to a brothel laughing my head off and cheering when Fat ralphy arrived. and the whole saga afterward got pretty uncool.
  3. australian book we did in high school. The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith is set in 19th century New South Wales and tells the ultimately tragic story of Jimmie, an Aboriginal man caught between his family and culture and white settler colonialism. The story is written from the perspective of Jimmie Blacksmith, an Indigenous Australian man on a mission of revenge. The story is a fictionalised retelling of the life of the infamous Indigenous bushranger Jimmy Governor. Keneally has said that were he to write the novel today he would not write 'from within a black consciousness'.[4]
  4. got sent by whatsapp from guy i know who went to carnavale reckon it belongs here
  5. Filling in my son's high school application having just dropped 1 large on water bills and car rego.
  6. bugging out to think it's been almost 20 years (or possibly 21 years) since I took these pics so might as well chuck them in here
  7. Next book also came via Hitzerot but was published by Spray city AT Graffiti Wien Tracing the origins of Vienna graffiti to 1999. Not gone through this 100% yet because it's pretty big but it seems pretty good. What got me into buying the book was some of the photos of the Phase2 and Delta stuff they did. I don't exactly know my NYC history too well but I wonder if Phase2 and Delta Had more running in Vienna in 1984 than they had in NYC. Wiener LOL then details the first trains etc in Vienna and then on and on to 1999
  8. another book by Hitzerot this time featuring a well known Berlin writer Abis I was stoked to discover he also wrote TEE because I've been following the TEE pieces on IG Right Hand side those pieces are so fucking good! Amazes me how some of these writers have sooooo many panels under their belts.
  9. seem to have mentally painted me into a corner and there's no way I'm getting out without toothpaste on my shirt
  10. Snoop Dogg has never met an endorsement he doesn't like.
  11. @Mauler5150 Scarborough was pretty nice though I bet it's changed since I went there. That sucks about the drug test man.
  12. been sitting there reacting to everybody without realising this was an old thread. it could be great to do a podcast with 12oz. there is a great diversity of users that could contribute.
  13. Barkka I(ndigenous female rapper from Sydney
  14. Kavanagh begins his life patrolling the Wall. If he's lucky, if nothing goes wrong, he only has two years of this, 729 more nights. The best thing that can happen is that he survives and gets off the Wall and never has to spend another day of his life anywhere near it. He longs for this to be over; longs to be somewhere else. He will soon find out what Defenders do and who the Others are. Along with the rest of his squad, he will endure cold and fear day after day, night after night. But somewhere, in the dark cave of his mind, he thinks: wouldn't it be interesting if something did happen, if they came, if you had to fight for your life? John Lanchester's thrilling, hypnotic new novel is about why the young are right to hate the old. It's about a broken world you will recognise as your own--and about what might be found when all is lost. https://issuu.com/faberandfaber/docs/the_wall_sampler if you want to try it. really liking it.
  15. @One Man BannedI'm with you 100% on maintaining the balance and population. There's always that guy who has the "special gauge" that enables him to bag out while everybody else gets nothing legal. And those guys ruin it for everybody. It's pretty amazing to think you can pay $12 per pound for crabs but if you're prepared to put some effort in you can scoop up more than enough for free. we only got 15 but we could have legally taken 60. Both sides of the train thing is pretty easy if I time it right. Uphill trains go through three crossings and blow the horn at each one so I can hear it and work out if it's going uphill. Then the rail line through the hills is a big semi-circle like the curved line on a capital "D" I catch one side then drive in the other direction like the straight side of the letter and beat it uphill. I've been known to catch both sides of an uphill and a downhill train in one go but that was a lucky shot.
  16. check Days in pies for back story Blue swimmer crab really gotta be said Blue Swimmer crabs are a lot of squeezes for not huge amounts of juice so to speak.
  17. interesting day today went crab dabbing/ raking at Webb Beach north of ADL @aimer you guys ever go crabbing? it's fun but tiring and I bought my waterproof camera along. apologies for the photos but most of the time I just aimed the camera roughly at the target and fired away because I couldn't see the screen in the glare. so if you do not know you have a rake thing that runs through the sandy bottom and when you feel something that feels like a rock you reverse it and hopefully it's a crab and he grabs on the rake looks like this this one dropped a claw the claw itself another one just wouldn't let go. the beach is crazy by my estimate we were well over a kilometer out but it was still only thigh deep. but it was so muddy it took almost an hour to get back to the car. the top line is the shore The tide went so far out it looked like there was dry land but it was mud mud mud. fisheries are fucking strict about sizing on blue swimmer crabs and I accidentally lost my measuring gauge so I was just playing around. So without a measuring gauge and with too much distance to walk to the other guys each time I caught a crab I said stuff it. Not going to run the risk of fisheries catching me saw a banjo shark- sorry pic is upside down tried to take more pics but he threw sand in my face so I said fuck it and grabbed him. @LUGR I know I shouldn't but he was out of the water for 15 seconds tops. again I couldn't see the camera screen so crappy pics but check his eye out and the row of spikes on his back. put him back got one more pic the last crab I saw pinched my Achilles tendon then stood there looking for a fight he very nearly got a crab rake to the face because I was tired and hot and thirsty and a long way from shore and well over it. anyways hope that was crabtacular not craptacular Days in pies let's bring it back
