Also borrowing his DSLR for my vacation next week (Puerto Fucking Rico for 7 days). I'm sure Beers and whiskey will be drank and herbs smokes.. Saturday: Drop off my DSLR at best buy to have them repair it. (My 3 year warrenty expires in January so i figure i might as well get a new camera). Buying Christmas shit and stuff for my trip. Sat nite my lil 5'1" half n half girly is coming over for movies an sex'n. Sun: Stillers, beers, herbs.. Oh yea, gotta run to the store and buy supplies for my gatos while i'm gone... Fucking 40+ hours in a weekend half the time and then no one gets paid shit at the end cause the event lost money yet again this year. I overstaffed a couple of weeks ago so I could attend a show and try and drum up some business, it was a complete flop, got put in a stupid spot in the corner of the festival, shitty stall on uneven ground - barely covered the cost of entering/product samples. Got back to work and found out they'd been as quiet as I was. Fuck! Luckily I've got a couple of hundred people already booked for today. And on the complaining from the other end of events, most people are so used to it, we expect complaints and it gives us something to do. If we fuck up we try to make it right unless it is to much of pain in the ass and comping a vendor something to make them happy and come back especially when they don't have a good weekend is super important to an event. Also I agree with the fuck multinational companies and what not but on a different level. I've worked with promoters who I know for a fact raked cash in hand over fist but still take 9 months to pay me and even then I got to bitch and call them constantly to get mine. I worked for one event that stiffed me, asked me for a recommendation for my replacement, then stiffed the person I recommended, of course I told him it would happen and he still wanted the job so his fault at the end of the day. Also friday has been a success, drinking a bomb bloody mary my girl made after leaving the bar with the homie and I'm fairly drunk at this point about to get some dome while I watch a porno. I just get the young female staff to control it, they seem to know how it all works. Fucked if I do. I did write them a complaint/recommendation letter, and received no reply outside of the asking me to come back at a cheap rate. Which wasn't really the point, even if it was free I would still be losing money. Anyway. New day today. Headed to a venison farm, might grab a couple of flicks.
