pornbooth made the switch to mac and needs some help

I dont know shit about a mac operating system and am having a lot of trouble figuring things out, I would really appreciate some help from the oontz.

 

I have a brand new computer so Im running whatever operating system is up to date.

 

 

 

 

First. How do I get my external hard drive to show up on my desktop when I plug it in? navigating to disk utility to open it sucks.

i can tell you from experience if your drive is not showing up in the finder window you might have to set up a partition for it. when i first picked up a mac i bought a external drive it wasnt plug n play for a mac but it was for windows i had to set up a partition which i didnt know how to do (still dont), so i just returned it for one that was configured for mac

it is most likely formatted to your old PC and your Mac isn't seeing it.

 

I have mac's only, i plug my external in and it pops right up as my "time machine" for back ups.

thanks for those responses i figured it out..

 

went to finder/preferences/general and there was a box to check and it instantly popped up on my desktop

i want something for my desktop to monitor my computer performance ie. ram usage, memory used&free, and other shit like that... i had it on my pc does such thing exist for mac?

where is the alt key on my mac?

 

 

 

 

trying to figure out how to crtl+alt+delete

 

 

 

 

also, do they have a fleshlight attachment for the macbook yet?

Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor.
