How does this happen!?!? Its driving me mad. I go to tattoo shops, tell the guy im looking for a style, i know it when i see it. I am not seeing it. Really, there are a lot of poor quality shops. Where does this happen ^^^!!!!???? Does it always take appointments and waiting times of months and years to get something legit? I am dumbfounded and feel like i am struggling against an all consuming tidal wave of garbage and then i see this.

serious question. can someone point me in the right direction towards a shop or a person who is accessible within a relatively short amount of time? (not a year to get tattooed)...or is this the norm. i dont know how this highbrow tattoo thing works, but im tired of trinket tattoos that arent worth a fok. souther california. anyone? please?

Southern California has a shitload of great tattooers.

So does northern Cali, take a drive man.

As far as the tattoo you quoted, Steve works out of Vancouver and he drew up 4 body suits (summer, winter, fall, spring) and I have no idea how he decided on who was going to get them.

The body suit (although I guess its only the backside, not full on body suit) he did for spring was done on the wife of the guy who runs the tattoo shop I've been getting work done at lately, thats how I stumbled upon that other stuff.

Send an email or make a phone call when you find somebody who's work you like. If they're stoked on your idea you may even get pushed up to the front of their waiting list if its something they've been wanting to tattoo really bad but can't find a candidate to wear it.

I have a sleeve from Steve, it took me approx. 3 years to get in, but once you're in you won't regret it. Steve is not only a great artist but a very humble guy.

I have seen all the "seasons" back pieces Steve has done and they are all top shelf.

I think he has a few of them posted on his instagram.

Quality is worth the wait.

I hope to start a rib/leg piece with Steve in the fall.

Steve was telling me he gets about 1500 emails a month requesting tattoos and he only takes on about 30-40 new projects a year so if you want a Steve Moore tattoo you better have a great idea and a good chunk of skin.

As for southern Cali-try out http://www.gurutattoo.com/, Aaron does some stuff that is similar to Steve's work. Also Terry at http://www.remingtontattoo.com/ is worth checking out.

Got this from Bryan Randolph at Spider Murphy's yesterday:

Side/into the back of the knee isn't quite as fun as it sounds, but not so horrible. Feels worse today.

Agreeable. Only got worse farther into the knee pocket. Personal opinion.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, i've asked a couple friends and got mixed replies. Has anyone here had any problems with tattooing scars? I have an area I want to cover but its got a pretty prominent scar in it, just wondering what I should look forward to.

Fairly certain his stuff was still at his station last time I was there under a month ago.

Neither Kyle or Justin said anything about him not being there anymore, but I am nobody when it comes to hearing news like that.

As well it was my first time in there.
