That area fucking sucks, you gotta run the gauntlet no matter which way you go to get out of there unless you go out of your way and hook it down San Pablo. Not to mention that being a big white dude in that hood=I get tested at least once a week by some skinny 15 year old kid showing off for his people. On a different note, I'd love to see some of the people on here that talk a mean game about SF only being about track bikes and hipsters hang out for an hour at 98th and Edes or 3rd and Carroll at 11 pm the night before the checks come in the mail...we can see how they fare around some hungry hungry crackheads. Yes, there's a lot of funny-haircut-having-pointy-shoe-wearing sperm bank robbers here but no one asked for them to move here...and I'm sure I speak for quite a few natives when I say that if they all caught the first thing smoking back to wherever they came from I wouldn't mind one bit. Last time I was there was right after Christmas, and I had a fucking blast and didn't really see all that many hipsters or scenesters or anything. I just got drunk at zeitgeist and whatever else was within stumbling distance, walked through some muni tunnels with tallboys of bud, and ate burritos in the mission.
