-Prison, that would do it.

-When all paint and writing utensils fall off the face of the earth.

-Death, that would do it.

if you truely have a passion for graffiti(night time activity), that kinda bullshit(school, work) wouldn't stop you. If you doing it cause your in the "now" and your friends/peers got you into it, and when you stop writing, giving an excuse for yourself(Right there, you proved you write to fit in with that crowd at the time, otherwise you dont need an excuse)<<it's for you, its for other writers, if you dont NEED to do it, then dont fucking do it. ya know?<<for real, i hear peeps talking about it as if its a chore.

arrests, job etc

i stopped about 5-6 years ago cause i got the good job and started a business. not enough time in the day.

if you stopped why?

if you active what would u consider retiring for?

^If you stopped writing cause you got a job, thats just stupid....many writers have jobs, you make it sound like if you do graffiti thats all you can do..please..I got a job, i carry markers in my car, when i stop somewhere, i could catch some tags...i work a day job so i bomb at night(you see where this is going?).....and yes..at some point your gonna be arrested, but if you say "arrests" then your just being sloppy. But your not caught in action it aint shit, so that shouldnt stop you. I will say i had to lay low after an arrest, and i had snitches near, thats when you change your name, and wait it off a little bit, or find legal walls or real chill spots during the day where you dont gotta sneak out at night.

the whole job/school thing is a buncha bullshit. carrying a marker and catching tags in ALWAYS possible. maybe no more all-night rampages or fill-ins on major streets, but catching tags and even taking a whole 15min to hit a yard with a throwup just to keep yourself in the game should be a must. if you stop, its probably cuz you never cared in the first place!

If I had a CAREER that could be ended due to criminal charges QUOTE]

Exactly. I''ve put in a few years of solid work in my field. A felony arrest would bring all that down. Still down to catch some tags and get my stickers up but can;t really afford to go all out anymore. Too much to lose I guess.

Proper respect to those that keep it up into their late twenties and beyond.

you should use that to teach your kids how to paint and what to look for while painting cause i know mad people with kids that still get up. hell rude from dc5 is teaching his son how to paint and shit. having a kid should make you want to paint more
