panakeii
Forget the shoepolish and go with thinnedout rollerpaint for white.. The only thing white shoepolish looks remotely good on is windows and white paint kicks its ass on those spots too.

senor_k
Has anyone ever used one of these before? I just want to know if it would be a waste of my time. The nib is like one of the ones on a kiwi, but it is made out a seemingly stronger rubber, and it's pretty big, about 2.5cm. It also will hold alot of ink (4 oz.). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/senor_k/DSCN0455.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/senor_k/DSCN0454.jpg
caffeine
Empty it out and fill her up. Ditch the nib and replace with chalkboard eraser. Done.
Fem
I was at Michael's (arts and crafts store) yesterday and on the paint aisle they had something called a "bottle with blotter" or something like that, it was right next to the natural sponges. It's basically just an empty bottle with a screwtop, with a sponge in the lid with a small hole in it. Might be really good for drippy stuff. I'm gonna try it out tonight. Shit is lame. For the drips just add acetone until you get what you want. Or just throw your ink into a squezable containter, like a leeho or kiwi, and give it a squeze for the drips. I suggest reading the previous pages first next time. I guarantee alot of your questions have been answered ten times over.

Brake fluid thickens stuff up because its an oil whilst the thinners will make it thin again....kinda defeats the object.... Etch is usually a water based acid and seeing as oil and water dont really mix i wouldnt put brake fluid in there.... Got to remember your chemistry when you are mixing stuff together... WATER BASED.. etch, emulsion (bucket) paint, ect SOLVENTS - made with a oil based thinner (these are usually the smelly ones!) ...Permanant inks, pilot, shoe dye, thin paint, paint stripper, petrol, nail varnish remover ect... OILS - brake fluid, hydrolic fluid (very simular to brake fluids), gloss bucket paint, shoe polish ect You can mix oils and solvents quite easily to thicken up or thin down an ink but waterbased substances are a definate no no.... flatliner
How do commercial inks compare to industrial? I recently bought a 1ltr bottle of black D'Inferno ink. Any good? I usually use Hard to Buff due to a lack of options, but I reckon D'Inferno is better. Thanks
