  1. If you have a paper supplier in your area (like Xpedx.. graphic designers and print shops use these type stores to order paper for professional printing jobs), you can go in and basically take as many samples from their open containers as you want. They have tons of crack n peel and colored sticker papers, etc. They also come in 8.5 x 11 sheets which = big stickers. Or if it's not set up like that, tell them you are doing a project for school/college and need some samples of crack n peel because you're going to be ordering a large quantity and want to make sure it works with your printer first. I would just look in the phone book under "paper suppliers" "paper retailers" "paper manufacturers" something like that. Xpedx is the best, if they're in your area check them out. You can definitely get a ton of free crap just by saying you're a design student and you want samples for a school project. Hope that helps.

Look at other pieces and see how other writers execute it. Look at ordinary objects like boxes and cylinders and sketch them out from different perspectives, the 3d aspects will change depending on where you are. Notice 3d letters like on top of buildings and stuff like that. Be observant. And draw.
  3. I have some "clear laser labels" that I'd trade if anyone wants to send me some of their finished pieces and throw in a few "hello my name is" labels or something like that. They're probably about 3.5" x 1.5", and totally transparent. Prismas and sharpies work great on them. They come in 8.5x11 sheets, so you could just do a whole sheet and carefully stick it up if you wanted something bigger than the small sticker.
  4. I was at Michael's (arts and crafts store) yesterday and on the paint aisle they had something called a "bottle with blotter" or something like that, it was right next to the natural sponges. It's basically just an empty bottle with a screwtop, with a sponge in the lid with a small hole in it. Might be really good for drippy stuff. I'm gonna try it out tonight.
  5. your boyfreind IS an idiot. Quoted post [/b] Yeah sometimes I wish he was down, it would be cool to paint beside him, but then again it might be weird. I kind of like having one part of my life that he has nothing to do with anyway. ;)
  6. What's up everyone, I just joined this shit. My boyfriend knows I write but he doesn't like it. He just kind of ignores it. The first couple times he found out I was going out and painting, he gave me shit about it cause he didn't want me to get caught, but now he's just kind of "whatever."
