It is an abandoned Eagle-Pitcher smelter that's been set for cleanup by the EPA as a superfund site for a lot of years (odd considering their impeccable environmental record) and that was in the office. Every now and then the EPA will send someone out with a clipboard, they'll look around, nod like they know something then go back to the home office and nothing happens.
