  1. I don't remember if I ever posted about my zine in here. Mostly freight graff, monikers, interviews, but also a bit of my non-graff photography, with contributions from a lot of benchers. I just got done with the 3rd issue, available here (all three are still available though): http://strangepulse.bigcartel.com/ Latest has interviews with snafu, aware + kuhr, leroy drown + savage land, forge, jeske amfm, and a couple of railroad workers. I'm pleased with how it came out.
  2. Haven't been on here in a long time, nice to see quality stuff still being posted! Here's my fave pic I've taken recently: Holga shot using film that expired in the 70s.
  3. I don't know if I've really posted about my zine in here yet. Second issue is available now: http://strangepulse.bigcartel.com/ First issue is still available as well. It's mostly train graff photos, but also includes some of my non-graff photography. It's packed full of stuff. Not something you flip through in just a few minutes.
  4. Does your point and shoot give you manual exposure options?
  5. Thanks! I went back to that location not too long ago, and there's a security guard there now. I think he's bribable, though, haha.
  6. This thread is so awesome I feel kinda lame posting anything to it. A couple digital point and shoot shots from a recent trip to Seattle: My husband and son in the Seattle Public Library. There's a section in the middle of the building that is entirely red, it's pretty awesome: Holga shot of the tabernacle in St George, UT (where I live now): There's a hiking trail near where I live that takes you up to a cliff covered in ancient petroglyphs: This is several exposures using a half-frame camera to make a panorama. On the right you can see some petroglyphs of animals.
  7. Finally developed some film the other day. All pics taken with this camera: Blurry because I flipped the lens on it. All pics taken in Compton, CA, except for the last.
  8. Sucks your DSLR got stolen! But I love the film shots.
  9. I wasn't sure where to post this so I'm just sticking it in this thread. I made a zine and copies are now available: It's mostly train graffiti but also includes my non-graff photography and some contributions by other benchers and railroad types. It's really big, I had to hand-bind it because staples wouldn't fit. Each copy comes with a 4x6 print and a pull-tab cover. Copies can be ordered here: http://strangepulse.bigcartel.com/ Or PM me/email me if you don't want to use the shopping cart. strangepulsezine@gmail.com Daily I'd be up for a trade if you have any of yours left. Or anyone else who has a zine to trade!
  10. I went to a ghost town today that had a couple pioneer cemeteries. In-camera cell phone panorama.
  11. I'm not a pro but I know this much: Take lots and lots of pictures. Bring extra memory cards and battery packs if at all possible. If they want family group shots, try to make a list beforehand of all the combos (parents with kid, grandparents with kid, parents and grandparents with kid, whatever) and check them off as you go, so none get forgotten. I'm sure you'll get lots more good advice. Congrats on the job!
  12. Much cheaper if you do it yourself! I haven't been shooting much lately, been buried in work. And especially not film. Mostly just my little digital point and shoot. Las Vegas, NV: Modena, UT (modern-day ghost town): This is an in-camera panaroma from my cell phone: Welcome to southern Utah.
  13. I follow lots of people who do the same--they post a bunch of older photos non-cell phone pics. It's all good, I just don't want to do that. For me Instagram is for cell phone pics. I post different stuff on Flickr. I don't necessarily only post stuff I'm doing right that minute. But it was something I was doing at some point, haha.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks it's cheating to post anything on Instagram that isn't taken with your cell phone?
  15. Mercer what's your instagram name? I'll add you. Anyone else who wants to give me their names too. I'm qsysue.
  16. Camera: Film: Agfa Isopan IIS, expired in 1973 Picture: Location: Modena, UT (a modern ghost town)
  17. What I would like to see are smaller pictures! :P
  18. I know this place--closed down Toys R Us. Used to go there to take pictures!
  19. Downtown LA: Inland Empire: Location not given: I have moved to Utah:
