  1. this is interesting from @Mercerspecifically, who i thjnk said he was more on the ancap side of things? but idk, i think most of us who have a graffiti background (myself included) at least partially acknowledge the existence of laws and regulating bodies
  2. i love animals but i won't miss my bitch cat when she's dead. asshole
  3. for what it's worth, as someone who approaches everything with some skepticism, i didn't see mass reports of "robinhood selling my stocks from under me." just that one screenshot floating around from different accounts
  4. "looking straight grimy in my giorgio armani" this one is for kool g rap, word
  5. oh it has 4 card slots on the other side on the exterior, i just didn't take a pic of that side. makes it perfect for me, i don't have a ton of cards. it's not all pouch; i need some organization amidst the chaos
  6. the political lesson in this is/was definitely bet long on populism. people want to see institutions burn
  7. oh yeah it's an oversimplification. but i did chuckle
  8. they're getting big sued, and they should. it's still probably cheaper than letting the consequences play out.
  9. yup, platforms are ending trades on those stocks, protecting their own. it's not a free market. seems like they're all falling in line this morning
  10. it is ALSO very funny to hear the "b-but they can't do that! it destabilizes the market!" from people who used venture capital to prop up uber, a massively money-losing company, for 10 years and counting
  11. i've seen the argument that people should not be allowed to day trade like this en masse and that such things are dangerous for individual investors and akin to playing in traffic. these people are sissies and hate fun. trading like this is unquestionably risky and a lot of retail investors are gonna get burned, but it's still funny and should be allowed to happen.
  12. it's very funny. there's no question this is gonna get regulated, like, next week and the wealth criminals will be bailed out and free to continue to short businesses to oblivion and print money doing it. but i will never forget they were spanked by the autists of reddit
  13. oh absolutely. i have the time to avoid the cheek smear do you wash your face or your ass first?
  14. google, and all tech workers, should unionize. i watched a dev at an old job have a seizure and get carted out on a stretcher to come back and start a 15 hour workday the next day. got a buddy who works at an amazon warehouse and those stories are mostly true, too. they should have someone on their side
  15. i am pro-union and have friends in unions from the trades to public sector to media. they should existβ€” the nature of an employer/employee contract should always be at least somewhat adversarial and a worker should have advocates; there are too many ways for workers to get taken advantage of in the marketplace. having bad health insurance is an example of an area where having a union is an immense, important benefit. do people manipulate the union power structure for personal and political gain? do police unions protect bad cops every time? certainly, yes. but i would still argue that it would be worse for more people to have none at all.
  16. autistic redditors banding together to buy gamestop stock and hurt hedge fund types is very funny to me. it's no way to run an economy, but the content is terrific
