  2. Checking this now. I stared at that cover and was like I know that dude looked familiar. Hes the guy from Four Lions which is also a continuous recommendation.
  3. Nah I know the whole corn starch deal but will never take that route. These were single portion so it took maybe 5 mins max to get them thick. The pineapple one needed some more time though. Its funny like ten minutes after I posted I was like....stupid! brown sugar lol just one of those nights. I lack mainly in the aspect of balance in sauces. Usually I just throw things together and there is always different levels of quantity with ingredients even though Im cooking the same dish. Im a very visual person and if I do things enough I can get an eye for things. The food I cook is almost always for myself so even if its bad it still goes down the hatch, but there are some days where everything is on point and Im just like...DAMN this is good.
  4. Fake no, I do get you though. I hate when the flavors of beer are too on point then you find out it was injected with something artificial and not brewed with true ingredients. It is slightly sweet but not over the top. The hops are very subtle and you cant sense the alcohol which is nice. Its oaky and the maple stands out. When I first read reviews people said that the aftertaste was horrible, but I didnt really dislike the aftertaste. Really I didnt get one. It was smooth. As the beer warmed a bit you did get the flavor of....I dunno its hard to say...I want to say meaty lol but not in a bad way. I mean it was different, Im glad I tasted it, but my socks are still on so I cant say I would drop 12 bucks for another. The price point is what keeps me from going back. Other than that I think it was a good beer.
  5. So I got some free seafood from work again so I figured Id experiment with free protein. Bourbon theme with fruit that is. Seared Albacore Tuna with a bourbon, ginger, lime sauce. Not bad. Sauteed shrimp (poorly) with a pineapple bourbon sauce and pecans. Weak. Very poorly bacon wrapped and seared sea scallops with a blueberry, black pepper, bourbon sauce with basil chiffonade over top. Basil ended up being a nice touch, yet the blueberries were not sweet enough. I lack greatly the skill to make good sauces. It was fun and my kitchen is limited at the moment. I really wanted it to have a sweeter bourbon flavor to it, yet i didnt know how nor did I look it up. Like to wing it.
  6. Cashed in some change Ive had laying around and ended up picking this up. Not bad. Very interesting. Really though the only thing that wont having me coming back to this beer was its price.
  7. I curl my toes sometimes when Im bored laying down just to induce a muscle spasm in my feet only to stretch it back out. its not painful....its just a feeling Im curious about.. I realized recently that I will either hold my breath or exhale when I pass certain people while out and about. I do it to avoid smelling their passing breeze. Some people just dont smell good.
  8. Anyone I have ever saw trying to commit some lil theft like that really dont stick around after you hollar at them. Im a bike person so I would definitely try all that I could to keep the person from getting the bike. Although Im not about to get arrested with the real criminal just because a cop turns the corner and sees both of us fighting and also because one person cant secure their bike properly. I have no time to go to jail for the lil things. As for my bike(s).....theyre never in a spot where they could be open for the taking.

  10. No joke. I felt I was resurrecting some really ancient ish with that photography link. I always love the babble for giving me sight at the stuff I dont stumble across. Ive been looking but so much has not been Babble worthy as of late. Although Im down to 1 screen instead of two and got so used to have netflix on one and surfing on the other....hard to do both with one these days.

  12. Yeah I was really liking waffles b&Ws. As I passed each one I was like "holy grain batman, I should comment on that." Then I got to the bottom and loled at the embrace the grain comment. Nice stuff on this new page.
  13. So I fail to see what you did. You spoke of framing the shot to the lines etc. So I thought hmmm doesnt look to different....so your "edit" layed over top his photograph with 75% opacity shows you didnt do anything besides try and turn a color image b&w which doesnt always end well. B&W photography should always have a good distinction between a true white and a true black. In your case its nothing but muddy greys. Personally I think the more you lean on your editing skills the worse you are as a photographer. Its not about snap shots that you can later alter, its about have a good eye and capturing that moment then later if you feel it necessary to correct a minor imperfection. Life is imperfect so thats always going to happen. I think I gif could help see it better...

  15. I know ive posted it before but hey this was my comfort food lunch...I dunno what it is but I freaking love some caprese salads...avocado makes them so much better!
  16. I mean I dug this for a purpose but the fact of the matter is that I find the joy in doing it... Before After I search out rocks on the 8.6 acres that my family has. The carved space is for a pipe line to give oxygen to aid in fires... Oh yeah I know Im not the only one but the bigger the fire the better... just for shits and giggles..

  20. posted something like this before...still good though...I suck at poaching eggs. Fooling around, got some free tuna from work. Blueberry Jasmine Rice. Albacore Tuna seasoned with Chili powder etc seared rare. Avocado/ginger/lime/cilantro sauce. Jicama/Carrot/Pepper slaw. Wasnt too bad.
  21. Why does everyone think Walt cares about Hank? I mean since day one you could always see that Walt hates the extended family he got through Skyler. Pretty sure the only thing that has really kept them alive is the fact that he knows that Skyler would flip if Walt did kill them. Also to that I think having Hank around has been some what helpful. I say Hank is going to play it cool and try and get Walt to fall for a trap. Hank might not think Walt is the Big Boss and more than likely try to use Walt to take down something larger than Walt. I do think the gun will play a part when it comes to the other crime groups. Walt did a big thing with having those people killed in Jail. He reached out to hands that are going to want a piece of the pie. Although I will say his presence is straight Alpha Dog. Those guys in that hotel room would set fear in almost anyone yet Walt layed down his dominance. I liked that they even had the guys appear to be taken back by him, almost flinch. As for the comment that "no body would pick up that book while taking a dump" ....I mean when youre taking a dump you tend to pick up what ever and flip through it. Really the only way Hank would of ever of touched that book is on the can. Some in the family is going to die though either that or the show just wants us to think that for 5 freaking seasons. I will agree though that Hank will be looked at as a part of the meth problem if he just jumps and arrests Walt and Walt will definitely bring that to Hanks attention.
  22. HAhA yeah I know. I was more concerned about the steak. I just wanted to try the ingredient combo steak wise. So I bought what I needed mainly for that besides the fresh asparagus. The rice I just bought some uncle bens 90 sec crap. Im not big on rice I was just looking for something quick that might fit the pairing a bit better. Im still stuck with plug in cooking appliances....not stove sucks.. i do need to provide some better pics though..
  23. A co-worker and I thought about doing this with lamb a while back and I finally got around to trying it but with beef. Ribeye rubbed with espresso, chili, dark cocoa, cumin, and a lil sugar. Seared and topped with a dried fig&cherry port wine reduction and a lil blue cheese. I was hesitant when it came to how it might taste yet it proved pretty freaking good. If I did it again I would add more chili and do without the sugar in the rub. I think it was great with beef but would be a hell of a lot better with lamb.
