  1. Jacob's Ladder is one of my favorite movies. That movie is my girlfriend-test movie, I show them the movie and if they don't like it, then it won't last. If they like it then we got a future. I showed it to my girlfriend of over two years now right when we started dating, and she liked it.
  2. i-Pod goes on shuffle, anything from Autechre to Kid Dynamite to Nirvana to Kid 606 to Tom Waits to R. Crumb's ragtime band to all of the rest of the crazy shit. The CDs I got in there now are the Shin's new CD, Dinosaur Jr.'s new one and Bug, Squarepusher, and a practice cd.
  3. Yeah, try drugs. It worked for me!
  4. I don't know who you are but good riddance.

I still can't believe that some people have no idea how to read, and yet they still are able to use the internet.
  6. It's called an "exclusive", and is pretty much an industry standard and has been since the beginning of home consoles, starting with the Atari and Commodore.
  7. "Dead2ThisWorld", try posting those pictures in one post instead of taking up a whole page with multiple posts, especially when a number of those movies suck. On that note, I saw Bladerunner: The Final Cut on the big screen tonight. Amazing. One of the best movies ever. These are the changes to the Director's Cut listed on Wikipedia, aside from the complete remastering and "updated" special effects (no worries, no guns have been turned into walkie talkies): The shot of Deckard waiting to eat at the White Dragon has been shortened, its editing reminiscent of the workprint version of the shot. This was done due to the removal of the voiceover. All the violent scenes in the International Cut that were deleted in the U.S. theatrical release and Director's Cut are restored to the Final Cut. When Bryant and Deckard are looking at the Nexus-6 profiles, Bryant gives a description of Leon's job. This was from the workprint. There is also a change in Bryant's line to, "Two of them got fried running through an electrical field," thereby eliminating the erroneously missing "sixth replicant." When Gaff and Deckard first appear at Leon's apartment, the landlord now says "Kowalski". Another small bit originally from the workprint. A background behind Batty when he is first introduced speaking to Leon has been changed. As the shot was taken from a later scene, this has now been corrected to appear as if Batty is actually in the phone booth as Leon finds him. Deckard's conversation with the snake merchant Abdul Ben Hassan has been altered so that the dialogue is no longer out of sync; Ben Ford's mouth (lip-syncing the spoken dialog) was digitally placed over his father's. A shot of the busy crowds in the streets was restored. Immediately after that, a shot of two strippers wearing hockey goalie masks was restored. Finally, there's a shot of Deckard talking to another police officer. This sequence takes place just prior to Deckard entering the Snake Pit. These three shots had previously appeared in slightly different form in the workprint version. The original full-length version of the unicorn dream has been restored. This is a much different version than the one that appeared in the Director's Cut, and has never been in any version seen by the public prior to this one. Deckard is shown to be awake, previously he was asleep or nearly asleep. During Deckard's pursuit of Zhora, Joanna Cassidy's face has been digitally superimposed over that of the stunt double. This scene was re-filmed specifically for the Final Cut. A scar on Deckard's face after his "retirement" of Zhora has been removed. Originally, the scene in which Deckard meets Bryant after retiring Zhora was to take place after his encounter with Leon, explaining the scar. This was done prior to the removal of the "sixth replicant," creating a continuity error. Due to the re-ordering, the scar was always present before Deckard had actually gotten it. When Batty confronts Tyrell, he says, "I want more life, father." (from the workprint version and used in television broadcasts of the film), as opposed to the original line "I want more life, fucker." After killing Tyrell, Batty says "I'm sorry Sebastian. Come. Come." when before he merely approached the desperate Sebastian. This is also from the workprint. When Batty releases the dove, it now flies up into a background that matches 2019 L.A.
  8. Seminal indie rock band, formed in Western Mass in the late 80's. J. Mascis is one of the greatest living original guitarists alive. Lou Barlow, the bassist, formed Sebadoh after leaving the band in the early 90's, then started Folk Implosion. Both those bands were pretty popular indie bands, Sebadoh more than Folk Implosion. The band got back together a couple of years ago to tour, put out a new album this year, and toured again. The loudest show I've ever seen, J. Mascis played through three stacks, Barlow through two. Unbelievable. I almost cried watching Mascis play the guitar.
  9. Dude, you can injest all the dicks you want, and I'm sure you have and do, but don't make a thread about it. No one wants to read about how you injest dicks around here. Just like no one really cares about the details of anyone else's sex life around here.
  10. I buy EGM often enough that I should have a subscription. I've been thinking about subscribing to Sport's Illustrated, also. I buy 2600 usually when it comes out, I ought to subscribe to them, also, to help them not go broke. And I also want to subscribe to Fangoria but that right there is an expensive-ass subscription. My girlfriend subscibes to Astronomy, Wire, and there might be something else. She tried Time, but never read it.
  11. Hey, I sat down with a friend, ate pizza, and enjoyed it. On weekends all we usually do after band practice is watch movies and eat pizza. Tonight we went to see Dinosaur Jr., though, and they were fucking amazing.

I would say if muscle actually tore, only then would you really be out of shape.
  13. I can't believe you didn't like The Quiet Earth.
  14. There's the annoying high pitch samples, and "Break". And "Funky".
  15. Goes to show that scratching is only for mental cases and little kids. Next thing you know the retards will be all over it. She's pretty good at it. Kid Koala is pretty much one of the best scratchers I've ever seen and I've seen him live.
  16. I've seen the movie and it was actually a very good, effective, and tragic love story. It was well-acted and beautifully directed. However, there are some scenes of extreme gayness that are inevitable. I put aside the small amounts of homophobia that I had and watched the film, enjoyed it, and I'm still not a faggot (hah).

Yes, that is normal. The drums work muscles that you rarely, if ever use, so you are bound to feel strain there. As time goes on, if you wind up playing real drums, you will be able to play for longer without feeling the burn and it will get easier to handle.

That looks just like a CS 1.6 level. Also a HL-DM level.
  19. I tried listening to her and it just sounded like a white woman trying to impersonate a black woman. The local free weekly in Boston verified my suspicions by saying "she is really good at impersonating a fat, black woman." I couldn't get over that, it is so glaringly obvious, sounds like she is trying way too hard to be someone she is not.

A new Ghostbusters game, eh? Can't be any worse than the old one. So I finally got my password reset for Steam and logged in on my new computer. Turns out I can download all the games I've already bought to play them. Hope I don't need to find the registration key again.
  21. *Coen. Josh Brolin and Woody Harrelson are pretty famous, too. There's a couple of other noteworthy actors in the film, like Steven Root (Milton from Office Space). It was a great movie, I'm going to read the book when I get the time. And fuck movies based on videogames. There has never been a good one. Never. Especially not piece of shit Doom.

I rented Assassin's Creed and it's pretty fun so far.
