mindvapors
6.5/10?? You're nuts!
tango 24
totally the game just didnt do it for me i felt it was way too short maybe 6.5 was a bit harsh a 7 is more like it but the graphics were pretty top notch for the ps2 and blowing the columns up in the first level was pretty crazy
El Mamerro
I loved the shit out of Black.
Weapon X
The Black demo was pretty cool, but I'm sick of run and gunners (until Halo 3 comes out). Same way I've been sick of any kind of arcade racer. Give me Brothers In Arms or Gran Turismo anytime.
Theo Huxtable.
i like stealthy games. splinter cell (chaos theory), ghost recon advanced warfighter 1 & 2, hitman (2, contracts, blood money), metal gear solid 2, 3, etc...
Theo Huxtable.
new katamari game coming out for xbox 360, ps3, and wii
trill
so i bought black it's pretty fun, but yeah, it gets really hard once you get into it. i have to agree that the graphics are pretty great, though.
El Mamerro
I loved the first Splinter Cell, never played any of the sequels. Except the Double Agent demo, and I hated it. Can't get into the GRAWs either, and I reeeeeaally wanted to cause they look awesome. I tried out the demos and found the controls awkward and unresponsive. *YES!! Katamari for the 360!!! Been dying to try it out, I've never played the first two.
Weapon X
mamerro, you gotta play GRAW on PC...way better and easier to handle. Splinter Cell is amazing. I played the new one on 360 recently, and it's not as good as the older ones. Decent, but it's not the same.
Theo Huxtable.
splinter cell: chaos theory was the best one to date
mindvapors
I've been wanting a stealth type game, perhaps i'll go for Chaos Theory.
Mauler5150
Fuck that. MGS solid owns all those stealth games!!!
Theo Huxtable.
no way metal gear is more realistic than splinter cell. both great games though
Mauler5150
I have never even played Splinter Cell. I just like the Metal Gear games. I watched a mate pay that GRAW2 and I thought it looked boring as shit. He is in love with it though. Me I don't really have a preference of what sort of games I like. If it is good, then it is good. Theo Huxtable.
you should try splinter cell. i tend to like all the tom clancy games. i'm a big fan of the "realistic" shit. rainbow six vegas is even better than graw2. once you get the controls down it feels like second nature. mindvapors
I've found an excellent looking Marble Madness-inspired physics game for PC called Hamsterball. Check it out here: http://www.fun-motion.com/physics-games/hamsterball/ I haven't tried it out yet (looking for a cracked full version), but it looks awesome. *Edit: Found it and uploaded it: http://share-it.to/file/2073/Hamsterball-Gold-v3-10-with-crack.rar.html :D
fermentor666
So, I have a 360, how stupid would it be to get a 720p HDTV? 1080p is so expensive. Who can give a rundown on all this shit and the advantages of getting a Sharp or Sony over the no-name brands at Best Buy?
El Mamerro
How big of a screen are we talking about?
Theo Huxtable.
i think sony tends to have better quality picture i don't remember the exact specifics, but i was comparing the difference and someone told me sony displayed more colors. it definitely appeared that way. then again of course it depends what models of each brand we're talking about. *42
On TVs there are a lot of things that are a matter of personal preference. Alot of times Sharp will tend to have more contrast, where as Sony will tend to have less contrast, but you'll be able to see more details. Example being that on one TV you might be able to see every stand on a dude with black hairs head. Where as on another you won't see every strand, but the black will be really rich and dark. It's a personal preference thing a lot of times, go to the store, and see what TV looks best to you. On the no name TVs you can see that the contrast isn't as good, and it ends up fuzzy a lot of times. You also might want to get a TV with a PC input, since you were talking about all those new computer games you bought and were into. Some of them can run things off of hard drives, and do other cool things. But yeah, I might just be talking out of my ass.

*42
Different brands emphasize different standards of quality. I know the difference between an LCD and a plasma. I had enough shitty early morning saturdays talking to the reps of all those companies to know the difference between LCD and plasma. *42
And he didn't even say what he wanted. LCDs are more expensive but you can mount them flush with a wall because they don't need to breath like the plasmas. Plasmas are pretty standard, but if he really wanted a big HD tv and save some money, he could go for rear projection. They're bulky but they're not nearly as expensive. *42
Haha. Well shit, I may be an annoying asshole. But generally I know a fair amount of something before I open my mouth. Sometimes not, it really depends on the amount of alcohol I drink.

*42
Yeah but he said he was going for 720 anyway. You can get a 1080 DLP and be all good. Kinda. I dunno. We went with a HD front projector at my dads house, as long as it's completely dark, it looks really really really good. I can't wait to get back to the bay and waste some time there.
