It was smoking them at the get go but it was tied at the end. I thought they were going to do a best of 3 but it looks like they are just dragging one show over 3 days? Weak. I rewatched the youtube posts and it's going to be 2 games over 3 shows. The NOVA episode was awesome also, I should have included it in my first post. Read it in some article a few days ago. publicenemyno.3 Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 the main advantage the machine has is how fast it rings in to answer. ken and brad probably both know most of the answers but aren't able to ring in fast enough to beat the machine to answering. this is pretty much just free advertising for ibm like when deep blue played gary kasparov and beat him. their stock went through the roof. there were also allegations that deep blue had help in beating kasparov. publicity stuntin'. Watson was on fire for the first half of the show then got all dial-up for the second half. Should be interesting today to see how double jeopardy goes.
