metronome Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 oh, and if anyone has any experience or advice, i'd appreciate it. i was cited by the officer while i was in the hospital on the gurney. the bail amount is $751, and I don't remember seeing a court date on it. anyway, i will look it over tonight and see who i need to contact for court or to pay it off. honestly, i want to fight it and don't really remember what happened, except i think i wasn't at fault. there's still an investigation going on, however, that's for the insurance claims. is there a possibility of me being not guilty, even though the newspaper article already deemed me to be at fault? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that while it was an accident, and a bad one at that, this is still considered your fault. For one, it's a single car accident (no other drivers involved...) and two, you don't remember what happened. so even if there was something that caused you to crash, you can't prove it wasn't your fault that you crashed. Milk Grenades Posted December 18, 2007 Author Share Posted December 18, 2007 metronome - i wasn't getting salty. the fact of the matter is that my car is totaled. it happened quickly and i don't know what happened. my insurance paid off my other car, and they're sending me a check for the balance. i believe they are also paying for the dents to the other vehicles. i can't prove it, but i'll just plead not guilty cause i'm not sure if they can prove it either. count chocky - don't feel lonely. you can come have food and beers with us anytime. last night was vietnamese food and beer and i love new york season finale.
