People do survive jumping of the golden gate (my parents know a guy that survived it), but a huge majority die. The report said that you hit the water 4 seconds after you jump, going 75 miles per hour. And with water's surface tension, its like landing on concrete. " wow I always thought the golden gate was taller then it is.. the bridge is only 246 ft above sea level.. the towers are 746 ft.. people need to start jumping from the towers.. If I was going to kill myself I would soak a trenchcoat in gas, get a bungee cord, 50 feet of panio wire and some super glue. Then I would get on top of a sky scrapper and attach the bungee cord to myself and the roof and attach the panio wire to my neck and the roof. Then super glue my hands to my head light the trench coat on fire and jump.. The panio wire would rip through my neck leaving me as a firey body holding its head in its hands bouncing up and down in front of peoples offices..
