computer question

ok so this morning i went to play a cd in my computer and it wouldnt run. so i looked in the "My Computer" and theres no cd-rom drive. so what do i do? reformat my hard drive? i tried loading the drivers for the cd rom put the computer wont do anything. what should i do?

well i was gonna do that, but i went to device manager instead and enabled it and its now working.

ok its broken again. now its not in device manager or add hardware. im screwed. o yeah system restore doesnt work.

This same thing happened to me one time. Try this:

Go to hardware manager and remove the drive from the list. Then restart and let your system re-detect and re-install it via the new hardware wizard.

haha, i was just scanning through what you wrote and i thought you wrote "so i was trying to play a cd on my computer, but then i realized i dont have a cd rom"

 

that was funny to me.

it doesnt dhow up in device manager. thats how i fixed it the first time.
