Mr. Incognito
score ! that a big model kit. Care to share any sprue shots of this? like what's the main body detail look like? and decals? What size is that ZEPPELIN decal? yeah man i'll take some flicks of it later when im back home, it actually was a pretty quick build because there isn't much painting involved besides the entire thing being silver. the whole thing is probably about 3 and a half feet long. it's pretty cool actually

Ko SprueOne
I heard a radio show about Area 51 today. It was Fresh Air hosted by Terry Gross. The guest was Journalist, Annie Jacobsen talking about her new book this reminded me of the Testors model kit of the 'UFO' in 1/48 that I built years ago a six and a half minute video about this kit that I found on the toob I strayed away from the instruction sheet slightly

_:MemphisOrDie:_
I bought this today. WM CRAB TYPE by _:MemphisOrDie:_, on Flickr I havent put together a model in years and the instructions are in japanese but there are good diagrams. My only question is whats in the little Top Ramen flavor pack lookin thing? Decals? Any tips before i get started?
Ko SprueOne
I don't know what that packet is. That's a crazy looking walker machine. Looks like a conventional oven or an eighties boom box body post in progress here if you want. Are you going to paint and weather it with battle damage?
_:MemphisOrDie:_
Yeah the WM Crab Type is clearly a boss ass piece of machinery. I guess im gonna have to open the flavor packet and find out what the fuck it is. I will certainly post progress shots. I have ZERO experience painting models let alone "weathering for battle damage" but im open to suggestions. I figure if im gonna do it might as well do it right. Ko SprueOne
. . . . I figure if im gonna do it might as well do it right. that's how I approach sht too, seriously well, to get started there are a few tools and material to have on the bench: - flush cutters or small dikes (no /hatin') - 'exacto' hobby knife no. 11 blade - tweezers - small file - 1 part tube putty - sand paper of various grades starting at about 600 - styrene plastic liquid cement - super glue (CA) no body uses that stringy tube glue anymore except huffers. Too hard to control just take your time, no dead lines on this
_:MemphisOrDie:_
Thanks!!! I'm actually at the store buying some glue now.I've never painted a model before. is it ok to paint it after I assemble it? I was thinking about at least not glueing on the grenades on the sides until I paint them.
Ko SprueOne
yeah, you probably will want to paint this one in sub assemblies and then weathering after complete assembly
_:MemphisOrDie:_
well I don't have any paint tonite so I will just build sub assemblies I think will be appropriate for painting. I will post a flick when I get that done.
