I am a complete NOOB at cooking outside of two or three dishes . . I want to learn . Trying to make some quick healthy (and tasty) meals - nothing over the top , just kind of tired of the usual chicken breast , potatoes and rice variations . . Lookin for some small tricks that can turn a basic dish into a delicious one . My lady can cook up a storm but my ego refuses to let me ask her for help . we have one potluck and an annual Friendsgiving coming up in 2 months , gonna scour this thread and find something I can bring for both of those , along with dinner for 2 stuff I can whip up on a nightly basis at home . I work at a neighborhood grocery store and get a big hook up so I’ll test out some of the tamer recipes , will report back with how some of em turned out .

It’s pretty sad . . grew up on soulquarian / native tongue ish and really dug late 90s/2000s hip hop in general . . lil Wayne inadvertently birthed all of this shit , I dug the carter 1+2 but then other people kinda took it one step further over the past ~five years and it became some weird druggy shtick (whisper/mumble) that everyone emulates . there is always good stuff floating around , it’s just not on the radio or as accessible as per usual . There’s this huge influx of jazz kids getting into hip hop and hip hop heads getting into jazz , which is causing some really dope shit (unavoidably some whack shit is also flooding the scene now - jazz kids holding two chords and all of a sudden they’re a hip hop band , hip hoppers thinking pretty chords/crazy fast lines that they sample is the only+best jazz) . Hate it when I hear someone who was dissing rap / hip hop ten years ago talk about how dope mf doom is now lol . They’ll be off it as soon as the hype dies down and hop back on when it’s convenient . A return to jazz hop is a breath of fresh air & hip hops last hope imo - as long as it’s done properly with people who understand/respect both genres . Check out Robert Glasper + Terrace Martin . their super group (R+R=Now) just played @ the Fonda here in LA on Monday night . They had rappers/neo soul singers + herbie Hancock showed up and played for a bit

Nah , I’m a fan of h-street for being the first skate company owned and operated by skateboarders , for putting out skate videos that molded skate cinematography into what it is today and for putting on people like Matt Hensley , Mike Carroll , Eric Koston and Ron Allen who are legends in my eyes . Virgil has gone on record talking about how skateboarding inspires him etc. , so to blatantly rip the logo from a historic skate company that is iconic to skaters from his generation and mine , is kind of whack . That arrow cross party has the + tipped with arrows inside a circle , the h-street one is a diagonal + tipped with arrows inside a square - so I guess it could be a rip ? Would be hard pressed to find out if it was intentional or coincidental . Either way that’s kind of scary . . fuck u for showing me that lol

Acronym Presto Mid's on 9/20 , Jordan 1's on 9/22 (court purple+pine green) - Lakers/Celtics fans gonna be happy . They've been going ham on 1's this year . Never owned a pair , always wanted the classic Chicago/Bred/UNC colorways . The shattered backboards from this year are so clean . . *"Ginger" (same colorway as Chicago's but ginger in place of the red) next quarter . Possibly more J1's before the year's end ? Off-white blazer studio mids (not a fan of this dude for biting the H Street logo , among other things) . I think those AF1’s were pushed to another date . On my computer during my break at work , was on the sweatshirt section at 8:00 am pst when it dropped , successfully added to cart and tried checked out at 8:01 but got cartjacked . . That split box logo on eBay starting at $500 already . was tryna cop for resell ? ah well . earsnot stuff looks kinda cool but I’m not too big on supreme outside the money I could make reselling it . . @Brinkthey haven't dropped yet . they're releasing one colorway this Thursday on SNKRS (supposedly 2 colorways this week and 2 later in the month) * my info could be off but at least one pair is 100% dropping this week (already on the app) . these green mist ones are my favorite of the four : Most of these pending drops are the exact same colorways worn by runway models for takahashi's undercover fashion show in Paris a couple months back . the only pair *so far* that nike hasn't teased from that show are these . hoping like hell they still plan on putting em out . . . react element 87's are the dopest new nike silhouette of 2018 ! ended up getting 4 pairs last month - two pairs of bones and two pairs of anthracite's . one of each for me and one of each for resell . resell for the bone's are @ ~$500 and anthracite's are at ~$400 and steadily rising according to my StockX/GOAT/eBay research . been wearing the shit out of both colorways . on foot : not as soft as adidas boost but still uber comfy and definitely more responsive and light which i prefer . *they are dust magnets but i figured out a way of cleaning the TPE yarn textile upper properly . i'll try to cop the green mist's and the black undercover's when they drop for personals if i get lucky enough . edit: ~these guys should all have this thursday's drop and any limited drop in general * some might not ship to the states and others might be in store or online raffle based (depending on hype/quantity of specific shoe) but they are all legit
