  1. Irak, The way to break out the glass at the bottom of a bulb is to wrap the bulb in a cloth and tap tap tap with a table knife around the black glass until it starts to shatter then remove.
  2. I got a laugh out of watching COPS in jail one time and some of the other prisoners were shouting like they were watching a sporting event during the chases saying I woulda run left and got away and things like that.
  3. So the key is to beg the church to pay your bills or just not pay them? The quality of work going down is absurd, do you hear of some crisis with the quality of medical care in Europe or Canada. As to the end of the world I say nano-machines.
  4. Unemployment Insurance is the only thing keeping me from going broke. I have been working 40hrs a week and paying into the system for the past 15 years. With the state of the economy the industry that I work in is in decline and there are no jobs. The only jobs outside of my industry that I could get pay less than UI. As a dislocated worker I enrolled in a worker retraining program that is paid for by the state so that I can expand my skill set and get another job. I am doing the best that I can to take care of my family. So to people that say that all UI is like wellfare and that somehow men and women in my situation are leeches I suggest they re think things in real terms instead of jumping up and down with this pull yourself up by your bootstraps bullshit.
  5. You may wake up asking yourself such a question regardless of what you do.
  6. True The person has a DUI on their record.
  7. I would encourage you to better yourself in a path that does not involve becoming part of the US war machine, especially considering you are in opposition to the current campaign of terror being carried out by our government. Kind of a no brainer in my opinion.
  8. Black coffee, I drink it and stare at the walls.
  9. I have heard that the soundtrack is popular amongst IT professionals for use when writing code.
  10. Never mind, not as funny in quotes as it was at the time.
  11. Here is a copy of a the last part of a conversation that I found particularly funny from another forum. I cut out the names. BGR is a guy who is always talking about how the sky is falling and everyone needs to ammo up for the apocalypse. Perhaps you could suggest to your supervisor at the Census that your duties could be expanded to that of extermiinator. If you encounter a person with flu symptoms, a small bonus could be added to your paycheck for each such person exterminated. BTW, if Mrs. Bgr, or the little Bgr's (if any) get the sniffles will you be performing the extermination or call CDC for assistance? Re: TIME TO EXTERMINATE PEOPLE W/FLU SEAL THE BORDER Mr. Bgr isn't concerned about a Mrs. or little Bgr. He told us not long ago that "one can get another family like getting another job". Re: TIME TO EXTERMINATE PEOPLE W/FLU SEAL THE BORDERS YES WHEN YOUR LIFE IS ON THE LINE --TAKE EM OUT--YOU CAN GET ANOTHER FAMILY--LOVE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SURVIVAL--AS I'LL SAY TO THEM ITS BEEN NICE KNOWING YOU- WE NEED TO WATCH THIS ILLNESS CAREFULLY BUT NOT TO HESITATE TOO LONG-- THERE ARE WELL OVER 5 MILLION AIDS VICTUMS THAT DIDN;T HAVE TO BE VICTUMS---TDD
  12. To open up high schools at night so that the public could use the auto shop, wood shop, dark room, pottery ovens etc. also to have night classes for adults and to open up and combine the library with the public library in smaller towns.
  13. I think that a cup of coffee at the panama hotel in china town coupled with a quick walk around the kobe terrace park and then dinner at maneki before a Mariners game is a nice tourist outing regardless of the Chinatown in SF. The Chinatown in Vancouver is nice also but that is another thread. Alki beach is not a bad idea, when you go to pike place market do not call it "Pike's Place" like the other tourists. There are some bars like the 9 pound hammer in Georgetown that you might find interesting. I can not think of a good book to recommend but the history of Seattle is kind of interesting. The breweries in Georgetown used to attack each other and pay their employees with hookers and booze to go raise havoc with the competition for example. If you go to the Seattle Center I recommend stopping by The Mecca Cafe for a drink. The Zig Zag on the market steps or The Pink Door in Pikes Alley are both nice places for drinks around the Market. In fact if you want to call The Pink Door and ask if they are showing a movie I think that is nice they put out a spread of bread and antipasta and you can drink and eat while they show a film on the projector. Are you going to be driving or on foot? That makes a difference in what you can do as well.
  14. Try Maneki for Japanese food if that is your thing, walk around china town.
  15. Every law student I have ever known starts out with ambition, then they realize what most of us already know and leave law altogether.
  16. Re: COMPLIMENT THE PERSON ABOVE YOU - no homo Your screen name reminds me of the year 2000 limited edition magnum of bud bottle that came with glasses in a special case.
  17. I am from the north west and really enjoyed the beer of Maine and New England when I was there years ago. I think that being out here the harvesting of hops messes up the beer.

  19. I think that the freestyle rap battle translated on you tube was one of the funniest things I have ever seen from the internet
