i just got down here rather recently. things are going along. almost all of the houses are gutted, services are back... there's still a lot of work that needs to be done, but not enough to justify a lot of the charities, as they're beginning to shut some down. the roads suck ass

I guess my house is the neighborhood stash. I go out for my evening work out, come home and 1 of my roommates is all shook. He was sitting on the couch watching one of the games when he heard something outside. He sticks his head out the open window to see a couple of 11 year olds hunched down underneath our house holding guns. They notice him and point said guns at him before running into the neighborhood. I got home about 30 seconds after this went down. The cops were supposedly en route. In the interim the kids robbed a house down the block. A family of 10 or so was standing outside crying while their children ignorantly played w/ each other. WTF? 11 years old and doing that shit? C'mon kids...
