Some states will allow the shipment of alc. Others consider it "trafficking." It really all depends on your state. If you package it well and make sure theres not possibility of breakage, and think its worth the risk....then youre good. If it breaks....they check the sender...the sender gets charged with what ever the federal violation is. I was looking to ship to FL from GA but until recently they didnt allow it.

 

Personally I love this idea because there are a ton of beers Id love to check out, but Im not up to catching a felony over a soggy package because our postal setup abuses the ability of being careless with shipments. Ive worked for UPS and FedEx...Ive seen what goes on. And yes it is a felony or was at least with some states.

I don't have any sitting in my pantry aging or anything though, if thats what you're looking for. This is the best beer we have in the state, hands down. If anyone wants to trade for a 6pack, im down. There are about 10 kinds of beers, my fav is the Marble Red, or the Triple IPA when they have it.

this is made at a winery, they only do one beer and it has shiraz in it. sounds a bit dodge, comes out amazing.

The abyss is a seasonal release. If you find some they are likely from last year, as are mine.

 

I don't really have anything else to trade at the moment. I'll take a look around the stores here. There's a lot of colorado stuff, avery, great divide, if you are interested in that business.

I'm in colorado, so i already know about the avery, great divide, etc. I think i'm gonna throw together a list of shit i want before i check out that store again, and then i'll see what i can't find and get back to you.

 

By the way, if you don't mind divulging the info on here or via pm, where abouts are you at, to give me an idea of some of the breweries you might have available to you that aren't to me.

Honestly, you are in a much better spot than I at this point. When I was in Oakland, I could have showered you with beer.

 

I'll do some scouting. Maybe something we can do is choose a price limit, like 50 or 100 or something and then send that much worth of beer of our choice with a local bent and just trade that way.

 

St. Arnold, Real Beer, Southern Star, are all Texas breweries worth checking out. I'll do some more checking out. there might be some really small places in the Hill country.

I'd definitely be down to do some blind exchanging with you, since i know you have really good taste in beer. I just want to make sure we each get beer that we don't already have easily available, since that would defeat the whole point.

 

I'd say our best bet would be to scope out our local stores, correspond on some of the harder to find beers and make sure we each pick out at least a couple we know we want, then go with the rest of the price limit of some of our own choices for the recipient.
