alright first of all, i know the feeling. i got drunk for about 2 days straight when my mum was diagnosed. the best advice i can think of is to keep the pain and frustration you feel away from your mum. shit is unbearable to deal with, but you have to man up and keep it out of your mums way, the less she sees you freaking out, the less she freaks out. My mum kept working through the chemo because it took her mind off it. anything you can do to keep a sense of regular life through a very strange and scary time will do her good. It sounds hard and it fucking is, but it really has to be done. dwelling on the shit doesn't help her. not saying it's not going to be fucked up, it is. just keep it out of her way. i know this sounds like weird advice off the bat but everyone you know is going to tell you war stories about their aunt or someone they know who survived ect. i wish someone had told me what i said when i first found out.

same thing happened to me last year. literally the worst day of my life. just shy of a year later and she just got the all clear. had to do the masectomy (sp) chemo and radiation. luckily we live in a country where breast cancer treatment has a high rate of success. in any case, being positive for and around your mum is one of the best things you can do.

This is in no way funny. he came from an era that instilled a ferocious work ethic in him, it was the social construct to work hard and work alot.It's a good lesson to assess what you do in life and why you do it.

I sorted my hustle out so i could have a social life. i hate the idea of making a bunch of money and not having crew around to spend it on/with. fuck retiring rich with no memories except for a bunch of work. My best friends father did just that, worked tirelessly for 30 years to retire when he was 48, with a dream to build a beach house or some shit. dude died in his sleep at 50.

also part of the curriculum, i had mandatory swimming lessons pretty much all through primary school. dunno if they still do that.

when i was little my dad would pour the end of one packet of cereal in to the top of a fresh one, so when you'd pour your cereal all the fine crushed shit would ruin your day. man i hated that.
