Banana fishd
A thrift store will be really cheap but IMO its tough to find good useable sunglasses thrifting. Rarely I get lucky. If you end up not finding anything maybe try going to those hippy boutiques for sunglasses. I know the boutiques around here buy in bulk from here http://www.lipopsun.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=_New and they sell their glasses for like twelve bucks a piece or two for twenty. I dunno if that helps..since ya know you live in a different part of the world and all...where you live things might be different.
yeaaaah baby
i thoroughly get down with thrift stores. copping jackets for like 15 bones that were once 300+ dollarrs going to the dressing room, and trying on shirts, and then putting your shirt over them, thus negating the price tags on the previously mentioned shirts. jeans are stupid cheap too. i'd post pictures of some of my finds, but my camera is non working like a little bitch right now. Cracksmoka
hipsters and ebay kinda fucked the thrift store market up... now old ladies come up to me telling me how much the snow beach hoody im wearing is worth... it sucks. You just have to be dedicated if you really want to find awesome stuff. I actually rate my stores as A's and B's, and know what days to go to which... It honestly is borderline addictive. But for real, at this point no one can fuck with my gear game... i think when im done pulling out my winter clothes later ill take some pics of this weeks finds... just for shits and giggles. acer910
do it. i think theres only one thrift store in my town thats not maternity stuff. we have a platos closet wich i think is like a chain thrift store and ive only been in it once and its just last years popular clothes so i wasnt impressed at all... Cracksmoka
word... i dont really bother with the hip "resell" thrift stores.... i go to the old fashioned straight up grandmama thrift spots... this is some recent stuff (like the past 2 days) the comics are like a month ago, i bugged out cause i used to have every single vol.1 transformers... but they got lost somewhere across the years like so much stuff does. i found vol.1 5-30 so i was super geeked. I buy all the stuff for myself or to give to people i know, i actually hate when people just load up carts full of stuff to resell... they are my arch enemy's in the thrift world LOL nwt: nautica blow up graphic sailboat knit polo graphic sportsman knit: i collect vintage pepsi and coca cola paraphernalia (dont ask): some tee's: polo USA fleece pully: if you know about timbs and are over 25 or so, you know whats up with these... Ill try and pull out some of my favorites ive gotten over the years one day... but it might turn this into one of those "56k beware" type of threads... lol. What you know about ren&stimpy 5 panel hats huh?? what you know about that ORIGINAL simpsons merch release?? vinyl is also something im big into, but its surprisingly hard to find stuff that i dont already own... the bulk that i see is like perry cuomo and orchestral stuff... and your typical beatles, seager, yes, sabbath etc... all stuff i already own. Cracksmoka
ahaha i wish... no, unfortunately the bulk has been bought and paid (or traded) for throughout the years. I have gotten a bunch of ill pieces out of thrift spots though. These are two that happened to be laying around that i pulled out of some spots at one point in time or another... I dont think i could do a "collection" post... thats just not me. There are too many guys out there with so much that it would legit give me a headache, that i cant even begin to consider what i have a collection. Tyler Durden
-countless t-shirts. -LARGE painting (framed) of 3 ships (from columbus voyage, i'm assuming) sailing off into a blood red sky. -lots of other paintings. -small danish looking desk. -large glass pipe display case with a glass etching of sherlock holmes on the front and a large glass shadowbox full of victorian era models of women. -lots of books. -railroad track workers jacket. it had the reflective strips on it, i cut them off and wore it to paint. since i had a huge logo for the local commuter railroad on my jacket, this was great for walking tracks to get flicks and scope spots. lots of other things. i can't even remember. i've been shopping at thrift stores regularly for the past decade or so. before that, i was a "hand me down" kid. whatever.
