Spring Break '92
The Labrynth was a great film. There is actually a strong cult following for it. I have never met anyone who said they didn't like David Bowie.

john_gacy
I've always thought dude was just one super cool guy. He seems like he would have a sense of humor that would go right over my head. Borderline genius status. I wish he were my best friend. If you don't like David Bowie, I probably don't like you. He never gave a damn about what people thought or said about him, he just did his thing and did it amazingly well. Plus, he has magic eyes. Oh baby just you shut your mouth. shai
Calling David Bowie "nigga" is like calling Ice Cube "wood"....anyway, this album is pretty hard to beat-

blood fart
I haven't watched Labyrinth in so long, I think it's about time to relive my youth through that movie. This is basically who/what I listen to all day and night. David Bowie- All The Young Dudes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZqY3hiXJr8 Rolling Stones- Sweet Virginia (This clip was recorded at the Tarrant Country Convention Center in Ft Worth, Texas...My momma was in the audience of that show) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-Qzze9iGk T Rex- Children Of The Revolution Gram Parsons & EmmyLou Harris- Love Hurts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj8qnzwHUwo Also, I mentioned that I wished David Bowie were my best friend. I wish he were my father AND best friend.

blood fart
I watched that about a week or so ago. It was decent, although not my favorite documentary about a fallen star. These would be my favorite ones. They all make me cry at least one tear. I like that in some movies.
FruityLexia.
Fucking top thread. I like that in some movies. yeah i just finished it, and it seems more like a day in the life type of film. honestly i love documentaries like this, they always make me appreciate the artist that much more. im trying to get ahold of the new wesley willis "rock you mentary" called wesley willis's joyrides, it looks alot better than the daddy of rock and roll, if anyone can link me to a torrent of it i would def. appreciate it. the devil and daniel johnston is an amazing film also. definitely a sad somber film. i absolutely love that film too. twinky the kid
also BF idk if youve seen this or not, its a short documentary on wesley, its called "Wesley Willis as himself" part 1 2 3 this is definitely the best of the documentaries i have seen so far. they actually portray him as an artist and not a freak show. it gives you alot more insight on him, i really wish i could have met the dude. CELT
First music I ever heard at the age of 10 . My Mom gave me her record collection , thankfully she had good taste . I've since worn out 2 copies of this on vinyl . I still think Electric Warrior is one of the best rock albums ever and put it right next to the Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street .
abrasivesaint
My introduction to David Bowie. this movie is kinda fucked haha. i'd probably have a friggin heart attack if i watched this while tripping.

I've since worn out 2 copies of this on vinyl . I still think Electric Warrior is one of the best rock albums ever and put it right next to the Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street . My mom also has really good taste in music. Well, she HAD really good taste in music...now I often catch her listening to some super horrible crap. She does this thing where she will hear a song on a commercial and then download it and play the shit out of it. It's typically some woman singer that sings about woman stuff. I can't take it. My mom is THE WORST at making mix cds or playlists on her iPod. She always pulls some bullshit like picking 6 songs and then making a 120 minute cd out of them so that you end up hearing each horrible song four or five times. I always lose my shit when my mom is in control of playing music around the house. But back in the day, my mom taught me about most of my favorite bands. A classic record in our house is Jerry Jeff Walker's Viva Terlingua. Every member of my family owns it on vinyl as well as cd. My mom taught me about David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Gram Parsons & The Flying Burrito Brothers, Loretta Lynn, Devo, Talking Heads, and so many more that I can't even think of right now. I can't wait to get her record collection when I get back to Texas. She said I could have it once I get back because neither of us wants to foot the bill for shipping a few crates of records. Which is the same reason why I left all my records in crates all around her house. I would eventually like to get a David Bowie related tattoo. As well as a Talking Heads one. And a Devo one. I know people always say that getting band related tattoos is a dumb idea, but it seems to be working out pretty well for me so far.
