Spring Break '92
I like the way there are short narratives by random people who dont appear as main characters in the movie. Also, I like the way there are short random intervals of the fat lady and her daughter. They just stand there without talking and their eyes wander around the room. Its like the shit that you know you see people doing but never makes it into film.

earl broclo ESQ
I don't know if this has been said already, but in Gummo, the black midget is wearing a white t-shirt that says Israel on it. Then at the end Mark Gonzales is the guy who wrestles the chair. In Blind's "Video Days," The Gonz wears that white Israel t-shirt in his part. dowmagik
I'd like to know how much was improvised by the actors, and how much was written by Korine.

Edward Orenthal Norton
i watched it last night. it wasnt bad. the part at the beginning with the sisters was early weird becuase growing up in a small town in Florida there are tons of girls just like that. but i will say that it potrays life in a small rundown town pretty well. but some of the scenes seemed a bit over the top to be belivable. 3.5 out of 5 stars

dowmagik
peep 'mister lonely', korine's new shit. just as bizarre as everything else. seeks/herzog FTWTF Watched it last night, I thought it was a really good flick. It was sort of slow, but the ending made up for it. I busted up laughing at the beginning when it shows Michael Jackson riding a pocket bike. :D
jugzer
this shit was crazy. i was at some hippie hangout that smelled like patchouli and armpit funk and dank weed, and they were watchin this shit. i was like "yo this shit is bugged out b", and then the part where dude is like "smells like a bunch of bullshit!" came on and i was like "oh snap, this is what dmx was watchin in belly" i watched the whole shit, and it put me in one of those why the fuck do i live in the midwest kind of moods

gravityWGY
this scene always makes me laugh, "i can't shoot ball like michael jordan can... but that's alright, though, you know? i'm also gay." also, gonz ftw.
YouMad.GIF
I'd like to know how much was improvised by the actors, and how much was written by Korine. About a third was written (specifically monologs and voice overs), a third is improv with his direction, and a third is pretty much documentary (the 2 bald brothers, things like that) On a side note me and Bunny Boy were hanging out at a friends birthday party last Sunday, and we confirmed and solidified plans to do a website... Spurred on partially from responses on here At first were just going to get a free blog, and see if we can generate revenue off that to get a server space and domain... See where it goes from there. Were going to tape new content and he's going to write entries about his experience in chapters.
detroit red
i went to xenia, ohio on the way back from scribble jam 2000...just to see whats up. shit looked pretty raw...lil kids doin flips on a discarded matress, they have a basketball court caged in on the roof of the jail...shit was bugged. im really suprised so many of you have slept on this gem for as long has you have. ive been quoting this shit since it came out. besides, "....im also gay." one of my favorit scenes is when the albino chick is talking outside of her hooked up escort thats playing a bass tape..talking about how much she loves patrick swazey. gold. blood fart
I would pay money to touch Patrick Swayze. Yeah, I used to say that line all the time at parties. When my niece was younger, she would wear her bunny hat ALLLL the time and play her accordian. Now they have both been passed down to her baby brother. detroit red
another slept on scene is when homeboy is working out to "like a prayer" ...using silverware taped up in a bundle as dumbells. his moms dance in his dads ol'tap shoes is stellar.
Spring Break '92
The thing that made the monologue with the albino girl so much more golden was that she was doing the scene as if it were some video personals ad. The bass CD blasting in the car and her dancing to it were the icing on the cake. I also get a kick out of the basement silverware aerobics scene. I like at the end of it where the camera focuses in on ol' mom and she's moving her head all around and shit.
