that would be the only logical move for the jays, putting him with the sox in the east would be a lose lose... they would get a few unproven mlb players and the sox would get yet another ace in their pitching staff...

If anything, 2009 Twins are worse than 2008 Twins.

 

Hopefully we'll make a few moves at some point. The bottom of our order is KILLING us. So is the pitching rotation. Relief is better, close to solid, we'll see. But we can't afford to bring in somebody for long relief every night when one of our starters biffs the game in three innings.

 

Some of the coaching and line ups are absolutely baffling. Ron Gardenhire is acting a little weird this year, but something tells me his hands are tied and he's doing what he can.

 

i.e. playing Nick Punto all the damn time. Or starting Redmond at catch (when we have the godsend Morales) while Joe Mauer sits or DHs (stupid). Or Playing Kubel in the outfield instead of DH. Or having a potential ace, Anthony Swarzak (from AAA), bench while Baker and Liriano have melt downs on an almost weekly basis.
