a mutant rancor
Post a pic of the tip. ive already thrown the tip of the marker as it was no use, but yeah ill keep all that in mind if it happens again for the poscas, refill with pen ink or pilot, anything thats not to thick and will clog
LUGR
^Should have kept it. Whenever I have had the ball get jammed I fully take out the spring and ball tip. This leaves an open tube to the reservoir. Great for thicker paint mixes. But ya, those things are a dime a dozen.
a mutant rancor
fuck, wish i hadnt thrown it out now. to get it out do you get a small nail and hold it against the tip and give it a hammer to pop it out?
LUGR
I actually can't remember how I did it....sorry. I do remember it was surprisingly easy though. I might have used a paperclip...?
a mutant rancor
Alright ill see what i can do next time i get one/if it fucks up but was it leaky and be all messy with no ball? or because its a little thicker no such problems

pazman
Stayzon nibs fit, same as the DED and oink mops, but I would just grab a new mops and tshirt the nib
kush&markers
ive rocked a few stayzon mops lol then the store i was gettin them from stopped selling em
pazman
Why are you loling ?
Walalala
aren't oink mops just stazon mops? anyways, thanks for the suggestions guys. to what purehatecrew said, i will try that next time i get another kiwi... in the meantime, i've tried using cleaning sponges wrapped in t-shirt fabric, then stuffed into the mop, it works pretty good. It soaks ink well, and doesn't wear that much too. Just dont use too much t-shirt fabric or the flow of ink is going to be very slow and restricted. Oh and i used pilot ink in mine... it melted the plastic cover of the kiwi AND got all sticky... have you guys experienced that before? a mutant rancor
^ha yeah i was mixing some pilot with pen ink in a small plastic cup and it ate right through it. fuck.
Walalala
i heard xylene eats through some types of plastic...
a mutant rancor
yeah i didnt realise that it had xyene in it, i know it eats through softer plastics and not the high density stuff like the plastic body markers such molotow. but what about squeeze mops will it eat through or warp them??
Walalala
kiwi mop BODIES dont warp, but their extremely hard COVERS do... it's weird. oh and the covers we have over here are screw on... so it's prolly a different material altogether. (btw, i use a mop made from a glue pen bottle, and it's an extremely soft plastic. doesn't warp though)
a mutant rancor
I guess it just depends on the plastic. what brand are those glue pens?? did you have to modify the nib or its good to go?
pazman
Oink mop bodys are the same but it has a far better nib, like a dykem
Walalala
@purehatecrew thanks for pointing that out i use Bennon glue pens that look like this. http://www.doubleacatalogue.com/product_detail04.aspx?gid=4025 just the same as any glue pen i suppose. i change the nibs to a piece of felt though, not chalkboard eraser felt, just thin fabric kinda felt. it's pretty good on smooth surfaces. i find them easy to use and maintain because when the nibs rip, i just cut up some felt and replace them. might just be me though, cause some might not like glue pens because they're not very enduring and leak a little. just gotta get used to them and work things out. JerseyViking
^thought this kid was a spammer because when I clicked the link I had a bunch of Allah jihad type letter shit scrolling across the top of my screen and I might be on a watch list now... anyway, whilst I love illadel mops, almost every one i've ever gotten of the k-60 body style has had the head of the mop where the nib is inserted crack in one or more places, causing major leakage. Walalala
Hey has anyone encountered a pilot supercolor refill that's larger than 30ml?

Walalala
green? i want to make a marker that's like about 50mm+... any ideas?
a mutant rancor
I know molotow make markers with nibs that wide. You could cut the base of a plastic hip flasked shape bottle and make a sock nib and fill, but youll have no cap and itll be super messy but ultra wide. can't think of anything else.
Walalala
yeah, the molotow masterpieces with the 60mm nib. my graff supplies shop sells them for double the price, so just wanted to make my own. no cap? how do you handle that? (if you do rock markers without a cap, tell me how!) i was thinking of wide oval shaped deodorant sticks...
a mutant rancor
If you want to buy one get it off the net wayy cheaper. personally i wouldnt rock something that wide as a marker you could keep it in a plastic bag but i can see it just being a whole lot of mess yeah the deoderant stick would work but need to make the seal leak proof??
