  1. I'd say the ink is too thick, but personally i've never used black label ink. Have you tried using pilot in it?
  2. is there any other way to post pictures than having to use a third party photo sharing website?
  3. For my marker, i used a deodorant stick bottle (rexona women's). Remove all mechanisms inside, and replace the screw at the bottom with a plastic cork. It's airtight, but can be removed easily as well. You guys know how every deo stick bottle has that protective cap to protect the deo stick on the inside? Yeah, clean it up, and then cut a rather big slot in it. Now fold up some felt, and stuff it into that slot. It should hold in place nicely. Put the nib section back into the bottle, and make sure that it is tight. If it is not, use some tape and tape around the protective cap, just so it fits nicely inside the bottle. Test it out with some rubbing alcohol, and make changes as necessary. To refill, I open up the bottom part (the removable plastic cork), and push the protective cap with the nib out of the top. Close the bottom again, refill, and then just put the protective cap with the nib back in. What do ya'll think?
  4. I made a marker that is kind of similar to those wescosa ultra wides. My nib goes up to 40mm, and holds about 1oz (30ml) of ink. tell me if ya'll would want to know about it.
  5. are they an old school thing? not in production anymore? how wide do they go? i heard they're up to 40mm. i was trying to make one of those...
  6. what are those greyish bottles?
  7. i read somewhere that you could just melt some candle wax into the bottom of the bottle to seal it, but i haven't tried that before. you mentioned a sock nib, how do you go about making one? and how's the flow like? i thought of an idea for a substitute for a cap... get a larger container that can be used to cap your marker, then use some silicone sealant stuff and squeeze that around the marker so that the cap can fit snuggly...
  8. yeah, the molotow masterpieces with the 60mm nib. my graff supplies shop sells them for double the price, so just wanted to make my own. no cap? how do you handle that? (if you do rock markers without a cap, tell me how!) i was thinking of wide oval shaped deodorant sticks...
  9. thanks for all the replies, really appreciate them. the weather is insanely hot here, but yeah i'll try to just fill it and use it. the marker i use my pilot in is a glue pen mop with a nib made of cleaning sponge, fabric felt, and t-shirt fabric all sewn together. (dont try this combination, it doesn't work).
  10. Anyone ever have problems with pilot ink drying up and becoming sticky and thus fucking up your nib? the pilot ink that i use is xylene based.
  11. green? i want to make a marker that's like about 50mm+... any ideas?
  12. Hey has anyone encountered a pilot supercolor refill that's larger than 30ml?
  13. @purehatecrew thanks for pointing that out i use Bennon glue pens that look like this. http://www.doubleacatalogue.com/product_detail04.aspx?gid=4025 just the same as any glue pen i suppose. i change the nibs to a piece of felt though, not chalkboard eraser felt, just thin fabric kinda felt. it's pretty good on smooth surfaces. i find them easy to use and maintain because when the nibs rip, i just cut up some felt and replace them. might just be me though, cause some might not like glue pens because they're not very enduring and leak a little. just gotta get used to them and work things out.
  14. kiwi mop BODIES dont warp, but their extremely hard COVERS do... it's weird. oh and the covers we have over here are screw on... so it's prolly a different material altogether. (btw, i use a mop made from a glue pen bottle, and it's an extremely soft plastic. doesn't warp though)
  15. i heard xylene eats through some types of plastic...
  16. aren't oink mops just stazon mops? anyways, thanks for the suggestions guys. to what purehatecrew said, i will try that next time i get another kiwi... in the meantime, i've tried using cleaning sponges wrapped in t-shirt fabric, then stuffed into the mop, it works pretty good. It soaks ink well, and doesn't wear that much too. Just dont use too much t-shirt fabric or the flow of ink is going to be very slow and restricted. Oh and i used pilot ink in mine... it melted the plastic cover of the kiwi AND got all sticky... have you guys experienced that before?
  17. well i tried the t-shirt with a rubber band thing, works pretty gooddd
  18. yo guys, my kiwi mop's nib ripped when i pulled the cover off. i replaced the nib with a cleaning sponge glued to the surface, but again, the nib came off when i pulled the cover off. any suggestions?
  19. I have a question. If you hire a lawyer, do you have to tell him what he's going to be protecting you against? (in this case, graffiti)
  20. i dont see how that helps. i searched but prolly didn't get the right keyword so someone please tell me.
  21. can someone explain why spraying spray paint into a bottle and shaking it causes it to blow up?
  22. you talking about the ballpoint pen ink that comes out of the ballpoint pen or the pen ink that is alcohol mixed with the ballpoint pen ink?
