the.crooked
theres a better one. When you get up to it, you see the boats and the shore and how the color is mostly water breaking on the rocks. goddamn i miss being able to just go walk around the museums whenever i felt like driving the five or ten minutes to them. the.crooked
I know I did a section on Rothko, so I think I am gonna continue the trend and talk about other major abstract painters I really dig. Next up is Barnett Newman. just for seeks. Let me go find source material.
tabloid-
Any time I'm in Houston I try and get to that collection. The first time I saw that GIANT TWOMBLY I freaked out. The light is all diffused in the room so it gives a strange feel to the work. Although I don't think it's as successful as some of his other paintings the scope of it is impressive. Some times his paintings look really forced to me. Crooked: Did you like the Asia Arts show that was up last year. I was there that weekend and swindled a press pass for the pre-show opening. Good stuff.

tabloid-
it was at the MFAH, I think it was the early spring
the.crooked
yeah i was probably back at school. my favorite thing that has been up there has been the south american abstract art from the early to mid 20th century. that was up most of the summer while i was home. i didn't quite get the scoop if it was in their collection or only visiting. either way it was some bomb shit. Ko SprueOne
T;6185674'] These look like reflections in gutter water. I like this triptick, but not the frame shape in the middle.

Bojangles
Here's a new one I just did. I've been kinda' going more angular lately as opposed to the swirly, flowing paths. Not sure how I feel about it.

Mellow
I like it, I'm not one to critique abstract art but I think the last white line really frees up the angle type lines in a way.
