The closest thing I can describe the smell as is fresh tobacco (unsmoked) and smelly leather. When wearing the shoes in a non drafty area, I can smell them. These too, mask the oder of the foot. They literally smell EXACTLY like cat urine. I was actually very mad at my (former) cat because I thought he had deliberately taken a piss in each of them.
